Given the Mudvayne post, how do you feel about Hellyeah?

I think Mudvayne is amazing. Saw them live too many times to remember and it is always one helluva show. The very first time I saw them, dude kept smashing the mic into his head and yelling "Fuckin A God Damnit" which of course excited the crowd. Set up one of the best pits I had ever been in. Reminded me of a fucking Braveheart-esque battle where the two opposing sides were on opposite ends of the field and just ran full speed into the other, in the middle of the field, smashing skulls and taking names.

I haven't listened to any HELLYEAH music at all. I will take the time to hear them out and get back to you on that.

Mudvayne L.D. 50 is always in heavy rotation. I don't think twice when I see that album pop up.

I am kinda meh on Hellyeah. They have some great people and a couple good tracks, but to me it sounds like they go for more of a "southern rock/metal" sounds.

Mudvayne-lite would be fitting I think.

Yeah, just a glorified side project is what I felt from their release. Saw them on a Revolver mag years back and just forgot to check them out.

My girlfriend who is big into punk got me to listen to this album by Joey Cape of Lagwagon and Tony Sly deceased singer of No Use For a Name. It's called Acoustic and it's acoustic guitar versions of No Use for a Name and Lagwagon songs. Really like it, especially this song.

Listening to this nonstop lately. Such a fucking awesome song.
