I don't think that's how it works or we would all get very rich after wrestlemania. If you put in a bet it shows you how much money you will get back

If you put 14 dollars down and Taker wins you'll earn yourself a well deserved dollar.

1.14 means that for every £1 you put on you would get £1.14 back in return.
I think the decimal system for betting odds is much easier, once you're used to it that is.
