Dang, man. Flair's son Reid

BREAKING NEWS: Reid Flair Passes Away
By Ryan Clark on Friday, March 29th, 2013 at 1:32 PM EST

Reid Flair, the son of Ric Flair, passed away at the age of 24. The cause of death at this time is not known.

Reid has been training for years to be a professional wrestler, with Bobby Eaton and George South training him. He was going to debut on ROH TV when his father was working for the company, but ROH backed off of the plans due to the younger Flair being arrested for heroin possession. Reid had recently been working for All Japan, and WWE had taken a look at him. Word was that WWE was considering signing him for the developmental system.

Sean Waltman tweeted the following regarding the passing of Reid:

“So very sorry to Nature Boy Ric Flair & his family. No matter what differences we ever had, my heat hurts for him so bad right now.”

I agree. Given his recent relationship problems I hope he has a support system around him so he doesn't have to seek solace at the bottom of a bottle.

Curd 03-29-2013 02:23 PM

I'm guessing the autopsy will reveal stimulants exacerbated his accelerated heart rate, or tachicardia, thereby causing a heart attack or myocardioinfarction. RIP! WOO! RIIIIP! WOOOOOOO!

Juan 03-29-2013 02:49 PM

Flair's offspring is mentioned from time to time on the forums as a matter of fact.

Heisenberg 03-29-2013 04:04 PM

Rest in peace young Flair.

Razzamajazz 03-29-2013 04:05 PM

this is currently the top story on google news, time to vilify wrestling again!

Rammsteinmad 03-29-2013 04:15 PM

I actually kinda agree with Aikido. I mean, it's a shame he's dead, and R.I.P. and all that, but you're all acting like Reid Flair was your favourite wrestler for the last twenty years.

In all honesty, Flair's kids only really get mentioned on here now and then, and most often only in passing.

Fox 03-29-2013 04:28 PM

Right, but Ric Flair is one of, if not THE greatest wrestler of all time, and his own story is one of extreme highs and extreme lows. The death of his son Reid is tragic to us, the wrestling forum goons of TPWW, for this reason more than anything else - because one of the Gods of this painful business of professional wrestling has been again made mortal through the death of his son. Because the guy who gave us and the wrestling business so much has led such a tragic life. It's yet another dark chapter in the story of the Nature Boy, and for that reason, we express our remorse and sadness for his passing.

Don't be such a dick. RIP Reid Flair. WOO.

Shisen Kopf 03-29-2013 04:50 PM

I'd like to know what Flair Wooooo's thoughts on this matter are

Who's acting like he was their favourite wrestler, exactly? Who's doing anything but expressing that it's unfortunate that a 24 year old son of a legend passed away way too soon?

This is a business where too many go too soon for the wrong reasons. There's nothing wrong with expressing dismay at that.

RIP.

Not a single person in here said he was their favorite wrestler or even mentioned that they knew who he was. People are just expressing sadness at the passing of another human being who happened to be the son of a legend and died at an EXTREMELY young age. When you hear about someone dying in the news don't act like you don't frown and go "Fuck that sucks man".

R.I.P. and I hope Ric is doing alright. :'(

Keith 03-29-2013 06:51 PM

No one in here has said "OMG! Reid died, I loved him!"

It's more like "Damn, Flair's kid died. He was so young. Ric must be destroyed, how sad".

Black Widow 03-29-2013 06:57 PM

That Sucks.

RIP.

Evil Vito 03-29-2013 07:38 PM

I remember Reid appearing on WCW television in like 1998 when he was the same age as me. Tragic. :(

Kris P Lettus 03-30-2013 07:23 AM
