No one pumped for this card??

Kris P Lettus 06-18-2013 06:48 PM

Lamas vs zombie is off and they are currently trying to get Lamas fight asap..

Next Big Thing 06-18-2013 10:28 PM

I'm kind of meh on this card. Weidman versus Silva is legit and I think Swanson versus Siver can be fireworks. Other than those two, I don't really care about the rest.

Kris P Lettus 06-18-2013 10:34 PM

Munoz Boetsch, Olivera Edgar, Barbosa Makdesi, and even a leban sighting

Next Big Thing 06-19-2013 09:57 AM

I'll still tune in of course and wouldn't be surprised if this was one of those UFC cards filled with KOs, subs and slobberknockers. It's just on paper, none of those other fights stick out to me.

DaveBrawl 06-19-2013 11:32 AM

Love Anderson Silva so much.

Probably beyond healthy levels.

Yeah for sure.

Weird how Munoz/Boestch is on the prelims and Random Gracie vs Kennedy is on the main card.

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 06-19-2013 03:36 PM

They usually have a couple of decent names on the prelims to get people to tune in.

I guess it's due to this being the big "4th of July Weekend" card and they love talking about how much a great American war hero Tim Kennedy is. Surprised they don't have Stann fighting on this card too.

Quote:

“It’s pathetic that so many fighters [have to have other jobs],” Kennedy said to the GrappleTalk podcast.

“I’m one of the three percent of guys (signed by the UFC) in the whole entire sport and it would be slim pickings to survive off what I make in fighting.”

“It’s a good thing I have another job because the UFC doesn’t pay very well.”

“Anybody who accepts [fighters being underpaid] as a reality of the sport is sad and pathetic,” Kennedy said in closing. “I hope this isn’t the reality of the sport. If it is I should probably go do something else, like empty trash cans. I’d make more money than I do now.”

Roger Gracie just became Dana White's favorite fighter for one night only.

Impact! 06-30-2013 09:34 PM

I think the fact that Mike Pierce is in the opening fight shows how good this card really is. I also really hope Roger beats Kennedy, and Leben beats Craig...

Stickman 07-01-2013 12:19 PM

Silva via round two ko

RP 07-01-2013 08:38 PM

Anderson Silva is going to kick this guys head off and play hack sack with it.

Impact! 07-01-2013 08:41 PM

Silva gets an immediate rematch if he gets beaten (IF he wants it), according to Dana White

Bout to go to work so I am not getting the fights..

My boy at work did bet me up$20 Wiedman

Next Big Thing 07-06-2013 10:52 AM

Silva is making $600,000 just to show up, plus a percentage of the PPV, Weidman... $24,000. Damn.

Krimzon7 07-06-2013 11:17 AM

I'm excited for this card. Really excited. Weidman can go a long way to making that $600K per fight if he does work tonight.

I think he's gonna get a cut of PPV revenue as well. This is the biggest payday he's ever had for sure.

Ermaximus 07-06-2013 12:11 PM

Oh shit! I forgot this was tonight. Thanks for the reminder Kris P.

Road Warrior 07-06-2013 08:24 PM

Barboza is an absolute beast standing. Love to see him vs. Njokuani next

MoFo 07-06-2013 08:24 PM

Barboza w/ dem Aldo style leg kicks

Savio 07-06-2013 08:36 PM

I would not want to fight him

Savio 07-06-2013 08:37 PM

Whoa early stoppage, give him another sec or so to see if he's done

Crimson 07-06-2013 08:38 PM

Did Kim Winslow just manhandle Gonzaga

Bad News Gertner 07-06-2013 08:49 PM

Wow, Gonzaga caught Herman pretty early. Gonzaga would have killed him if Winslow didn't.

Road Warrior 07-06-2013 08:52 PM

Good stoppage, he was out for a split second

MoFo 07-06-2013 09:09 PM

This jap dude is really dumb but its making for an awesome fight with him just getting tagged with lefts

Savio 07-06-2013 09:10 PM

Should deduct a point for grabbing the cage there

Road Warrior 07-06-2013 09:12 PM
