The Rock has apparently walked out on WWE

From the front page, so take it with what it's worth.

Nobody knows any details as to what happened past that. As of this time, the belief is that The Rock is not appearing.

Also, there is a second major angle tonight to set up the main feud going forward and the Extreme Rules main event involving John Cena’s next title defense. Word is that it is one of the things that has been planned for some time and was actually scheduled before Mania.

More details as they come…

maybe he's upset about margaret thatcher

DaveBrawl 04-08-2013 04:48 PM

Nah, he said he would never leave us, it's just a misunderstanding, he's probably in the bathroom. Someone check the stalls.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 04:49 PM

Poor bloke is probably stuck in traffic or something.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 04:51 PM

Can't wait for this story to be inaccurate and see how RC tries to explain it.

whiteyford 04-08-2013 04:51 PM

Is Impact live this week...:shifty: #pisspoormondaynightwarsjoke

Wishbone 04-08-2013 04:51 PM

Nu-uh guys! Remember how Cena said that Rock would have to feel the way Cena did after 'mania last year? Rock's totally gonna go home and ruin his social life as he constantly thinks about Cena beating him for a year and cries himself to sleep about what a shitty year it's been for him!

Volare 04-08-2013 04:52 PM

Oooh Oooh let me start a rumor...

He did look pissed on TV last night! ITS ALL REAL HEAT! REAL HEAT I TELL YOU!

road doggy dogg 04-08-2013 04:52 PM

What's with all this "booking matches a year in advance" bullshit? I hate that shit. It totally ruins the immersion of a natural buildup to a feud. It's fine that you have a yearlong plan internally but you don't need to broadcast it. It makes the feuds feel incredibly cheap. And why always with part-timers? Fucking garbage.

Anyway, The Rock should feel bad after that atrocity of a match last night. He needs to sit and think about what he's done.

MoFo 04-08-2013 04:55 PM

Do not believe.

Next.

I doubt WWE is going to broadcast Brock vs Rock (if it happens) a year ahead of time. Only reason we even have to believe it's "happening" is because of the dirt sheets. If you want immersion then don't look at dirt sheets plain and simple.

road doggy dogg 04-08-2013 04:58 PM

I haven't read a dirt sheet in forever, I'm just going off of what a bunch of retards in the wrestling forum post. But my point still stands that The Rock should take a year off.

The dogs are in the enclosed pool area.

ooTin 04-08-2013 05:00 PM

1. No way Rock would just walk away. Had to be a misunderstanding or something of that nature, or its just some BS False report.
2. Well I guess I said everything I said in point 1 so go fucking yourselves.

VSG 04-08-2013 05:01 PM

lol no way he is walking out on anyone, something like this will hurt his "real world credibility".

Flash Funk 04-08-2013 05:02 PM

Rock has always looked up to Austin, so maybe he thought walking out before getting beat up by Lesnar was a nice tribute.

Eh, I wouldn't mind Rock doing something else for WWE so long as he stays faaaaaaaaaaar away from Cena for a while. Won't be disappointed if he takes a year off either though.

DAMN iNATOR 04-08-2013 05:05 PM

Rock’s taken his ball and gone back to Hollywood.

slik 04-08-2013 05:08 PM

Wow. This is very un-Rock like behavior.

I hope the dirt sheets are wrong and this is just newz. Or WWE is working them.

Isn't Rock already contractually signed for Extreme Rules? I thought I remember reading that a few weeks back.

Shadrick 04-08-2013 05:08 PM

i love how Ryan Clark puts the headline, with the question mark at the end, so later on he can say "well hey i just reported the rumor, we never really SAID thats what he did lolololol"

teamXtremist 04-08-2013 05:08 PM

no need for rock to appear hes gone anyway. no need to start another year long feud while he and brock are coming and going

That's some real Glenn Beck quality journalism.

Kalyx triaD 04-08-2013 05:12 PM

He has to film Hercules, people. Maybe he'll appear, maybe not, but he has a career outside of WWE in case some of you were wondering.

He read PullMyFinger's post, and he was so saddened and ashamed, he left.

See what you did, guys?

I don't think anyone here was actually mad that he wouldn't show up. Most people (myself included) were just being sarcastic assholes, and stating the obvious that this is almost certainly a bullshit rumor. Rock wouldn't just walk out. If he's not there it's cause he wasn't supposed to be or physically couldn't.

I'm also perfectly fine with him leaving. Could use a break from all the "FINALLY!" and "Candy Ass!" for a while.

So... What..?

And here I am reminded why I stopped posting in this section.

Good day, people.

BigCrippyZ 04-08-2013 05:25 PM

Ok, so this is probably bullshit, but if he did walk out, maybe he had a legit reason for it. Death/serious illness in the family? Or maybe he had a legit problem with what they were planning on doing on Raw tonight.

Mr. Nerfect 04-08-2013 05:41 PM

It seems to be reported everywhere. The dirt sheets are wrong about a lot, but usually when the dirt sheets report things wrong they just report things wrong on speculation. Things like "Team Hell No vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston is expected to open the show and has been scheduled to for days, replacing Chris Jericho vs. Fandango as the lead candidate." Neither match opens and it's just a case of "Whoops -- well plans change." Reporting that The Rock has physically gotten on a plane and flown to the other side of the country is a bit different.

I'm not saying that these reports are accurate. I'll LOL when "If ya smell!" blares over the PA on RAW if he is there. It just seems like a weird thing to make up, because if it is falsely reported it really blows up the credibility of those reporting it.

CSL 04-08-2013 05:42 PM

credibility?

Volare 04-08-2013 05:48 PM

Minimal at best...at least they could report my fucking lottery numbers while I read their BS just cause I'm bored.

Shadrick 04-08-2013 05:55 PM

Would be awesome if it was a work leading to heel Rock.

A boy can dream.

Lock Jaw 04-08-2013 05:58 PM

Heel turn

Remember the swerve a few years back where on WWE.com it was reported that one of the Hardys (can't remember for certain, but I'm thinking it was Jeff) had suffered a heart attack and everyone bought it?

Could be (probably not) a similar situation here.
