The Steiner Brothers dominated every top wrestling federation at one point or another in their career. Gotta hand them that.

Best ever (or atleast as long as I have been watching) were Edge and Christian in WWE and Mysterio and Kidman in WCW

It doesn't sound dumb at all; it's actually a very good question.

Ole Anderson was booking in the south, and originally teamed up Animal and Hawk and they began using the tag team name of "The Road Warriors"....

Back in the early 80's,Paul Ellering started a stable of wrestlers and called them "The Legion Of Doom".The stable consisted of: Hawk,Animal,The Spoiler,Jake Roberts,King Kong Bundy,Arn Anderson, and Buzz Sawyer (a pretty ****ing kick ass group at the time if you ask me).

The group pretty much fell apart, and they continued to call themselves The Road Warriors, until they went to the WWF,and were called The LOD (because of WWE's great "no two people with even remotely similar names" rule - they didn't want any confusion between the Road Warriors and Ultimate Warrior).

When they went back to WCW,they were called The Road Warriors again, and then returned to WWF to be LOD once again; and then LOD 2000.

KayfabeMan 12-19-2003 11:44 PM

Also, are we talking about greatest tag team gimmick wise, talent wise, wrestling ability wise or what?

MVP 12-19-2003 11:59 PM

The SAT's
Bret and Owen Hart
Angle and Benoit
Road Warriors
The Outsiders
Triple X

In the WWF though I'm pretty sure I remember them being announced as: Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal: The Legion of Doom!!!!

Lara Emily 12-20-2003 12:05 AM

Now as for my choice and I can't believe I'm the first to mention them:

The British Bulldogs

Jason_Hawk 12-20-2003 12:20 AM

Road Warriors
Dudleys
E&C
New Age Outlaws
Stone Cold & Dude Love

They certainly did,and it was quite confusing.

They (the WWF) just didn't want them being named The Road
Warriors (as a tag team name),but it was OK to refer to them
that way during the intros and such

If you notice, when LOD did their TV thing with WWE on RAW,
JR kept correcting himself with the RW/LOD thing; very weird
stuff.

But consider that these are the same people who change Lord
Steven Regal's name to William Regal because of Steve Austin;
Shane Helms' name to Gregory Helms because of Shane O'Mac;
Lance Cade's name to Garrison because of Lance Storm, and a
whole shitload of others....

sledge 12-20-2003 01:14 AM

Steiner Bros.
Harlem Heat
British Bulldogs

Sting Fan 12-20-2003 02:15 AM

For me in no particular order

Rockers
Harlem Heat
The Outsiders
The Steiners

And in recent years i would say my favourite team has to be goldust and Booker T and right now i would have to say CM Punk and Julio Dinero or CM Punk and Colt Cabana.

Bad Guy 12-20-2003 04:30 AM

moshingfreak 12-20-2003 09:55 PM

Kidman and Rey were probably the best tag team in WCW, and most entertaining. But now that theres no good Cruiserweights in WWE, the cant really showcase that talent that they had.
