War Games DVD
Wow surprised they are releasing a match with Benoit considering they seem to be ignoring his existence since the tragedy
"First Matches For WWE’s New War Games DVD By Ryan Clark on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 3:59 PM EST According to WWEDVDNews.com, the following matches have been confirmed for WWE’s New War Games DVD… * Ultimate Jeopardy Steel Cage Match from ECW CyberSlam 1999: The Dudleys and Mustafa vs. New Jack, Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney * War Games from WCW Fall Brawl 1997: Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Konnan and Buff Bagwell vs. Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, Curt Hennig and Steve “Mongo” McMichael" |
Benoit you say!?
well they could have gone with a big black rectangle like South Park & Mohammed....
If they want to put good matches on DVD they won't be able to ignore Benoit completely we will see how this works out
Benoit was on the WCW Nitro vol 1 dvd when Flair unveiled the new Horsemen from 1998.
he was also in the background in another Horsemen segment included. so I think they must be gradually starting to include him on dvd's. |
He's also on the Elimination Chamber DVD. This whole OMG I FOUND BENOIT ON A WWE PRODUCT thing got old a long-ass time ago.
They should probably choose not to include him in future DVDs because of how boring he was.
That would be a decent idea.
Stop it. He was not boring. It is just easy to shit on the guy because he died a vile sack of shit.
Well he certainly never interested me in the slightest. I have no reason to care about the match of a guy that has zero character.
*sigh*
It's only an opinion. If it helps I would've much rather Triple H won that Wrestlemania triple threat match.
I guess. I thought the last 30-45 minutes of WrestleMania XX were absolute perfection and I honestly don't know if I'll ever feel as happy from a wrestling show as I did that night. Obviously, it is forever tainted but I'll never forget grinning ear-to-ear after Benoit won in the greatest 3-way match of all time and the Guerrero/Benoit moment closing the show. Jim Ross screaming adding emotion that only he can.
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hYN9akZIndU" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" width="480"></iframe> Having watched Benoit and Guerrero since I was a kid in WCW, it was awesome. Benoit didn't need a gimmick. He was the most intense wrestler ever and he was technically superior to everybody else. His promos weren't Flair masterpieces or Rock's comedy gold, but they were gritty and real usually. The only thing that would have been better is HBK beating Cena at WM23...and even then I don't know if it could top the simple and pure joy of seeing 2 guys who put in decades of hard work and finally it paying off. |

I find RVD boring.
I also find RVD boring. Granted I've never seen a single one of his ECW matches.
When he's motivated he's great, otherwise it's just the same spots in the same match he puts on 90% of the time.
I'd love to see some present day Wargames matches.
Pfft. Not anytime likely. imo
Yeah I know. Just saying I'd love to see something like Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, & The Shield vs. Triple H, Undertaker, Team Hell No, & Chris Jericho in Wargames would be epic. Especially if they made it elimination style.
Dunno, Triple H is a huge fan of the match, they own the rights and they're putting out a dvd set. Could see it happening as a one off at least.
It'd just be fascinating to see a WWE event with two rings.
Did anyone ever do a move like a hadouken in war games?
If anything I could see it being done in the Cell or chamber rather than two rings, if they did it I can't picture it being exactly the same as the WCW version but maybe as the main event to Survivor Series as an elimination match or a Bragging Rights type PPV.
