It's definitely a departure from the first 3 albums, but that's part of what I love about it.
I'm not ready to give it a 10/10, but give it a week and I might be. I like the album more and more upon each listen, and we're up to about 10 at this point. It's definitely chill, and I love the Nile Rodgers stuff on it. While I'm sick of "Get Lucky" I think it's a pretty solid track all things considered. Some people are definitely going to hate this album though because it's SO different. I mean, everything was played on a live instrument. Kind of nuts. |
I think it's pretty cool. Didn't expect the melancholy or the cheese but I like it. Really like the sad robot tracks like Within and Beyond, plus the Giorgio Moroder track is sweet, but I love italo. I don't know, it's too long and some of it doesn't work but it's interesting.
