MAY 19TH!
Is just around the corner. I was going to try and track down and post vids of all the matches and segments that made up this strange storyline, but it would take way too long, so instead I’ll just present, for your viewing amusement, Kane vs. Fake Kane from Vengeance 2006. Pretty surreal stuff.

Yeah, I wonder if maybe Kane gets pinned in the tag title match, Daniel Bryan can ask him how he could lose the most important match of their careers and Kane cites having flashbacks to 2006 and the "May 19th" voices...

This is where the whole train wreck starts. Well, actually it starts after the match with Kane “hearing voices” taunting him about May 19th. It was a return match from the previous weeks RAW (April 3rd, 2006) where Kane and Show, having successfully defended their World Tag Team Championships the night before at WrestleMania 22, lost them to the Spirit Squad. They invoked their rematch clause in this match from the April 10th, 2006 edition of RAW, and lost...eventually Big Show confronted Kane and the two would face off at Backlash later that month. |
