So hype for this fucking game. Jesus.

I was mocking Call of Duty for still using the same engine on next gen, then this leaked before E3 and it came out that it was using the Half-Life 2 Source engine so I was thinking, what in the fuck? But it turns out that Infinity Ward had wizards working there and they got moved onto Respawn as well, because it looks fucking gorgeous.

I forgot that the current Call of Duty engine was a heavily modified Quake 3 engine fiddled about with by the same guys. Putting CoD Ghosts footage and this side-by-side makes me think that Activision really shouldn't have fucked these guys around.

That Source engine is fucking brilliant, did you not see what the Black Mesa guys did with it?

Vision beats paint-by-numbers 100% of the time. Respawn is making a point, IW is meeting fiscal quotas. The difference is clear.

Just so we're clear, this is a timed exclusive. PS4 will get some love after a while.

I have my PC in a study room at a desk :-\, not the most comfortable...
I use a controller for some PC games, but it doesn't feel the same as having a nice console setup and being able to play local multiplayer...

Pretty sure they said that they haven't ruled out Titanfall for PS4 and would like to cater to all gamers.

You can definitely see the influence of CoD in there, but obviously the jet packs, wall running and mechs change the whole dynamic.

Titanfall's like CoD if CoD was cool like Titanfall is.

Respawn Entertainment states the game will not have micro-transactions but are currently considering DLC packs to be possible.

Also stated there is no cross-platform play for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Release date was announced to be on March 11, 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

Collector's edition was also announced and costs around $250.

This has been confirmed a full exclusive for MS and not a timed one. Respawn didn't even know about it apparently.

I was hanging out with this girl that writes reviews for video games this weekend and she's had some hands on time with the game. Not surprisingly she says it's fucking amazing.

There's a few clips out and about, I think Respawn generally doesn't care - the footage is badass. Will so be in on that beta.

I just reserved it for Xbone. Can't wait!

And as for why I chose Xbone over PS4....the controller. Xbox's controllers are more comfortable to me for FPS, which is what I mostly play. May seem like a stupid reason, but it's true.
