I know there isn't a ton of us here that play the series/even like hockey. But they are finally changing the fighting mechanics, after years of the same boring one. Also making improvements to the skating too, based on the Destructoid article.

Was thinking of getting a hockey video game soon. Might just get NHL 93 for now, but the new fighting engine intrigues me. Really cool how they are taking a part of a boxing game to improve it.

This year was the first time I did a GM Connected league with a bunch of friends and it's fucking fantastically fun. Assuming they're all doing it again next edition, I'll probably end up grabbing 14. Even though I can't fucking stand giving those cunts at EA way too much money year-to-year for a new sports title.

Just bought NHL 93 for a dollar on Ebay. Going to be good for hockey games for awhile I think.

I'm thinking of buying a ps3 and NHL 2013. Does NHL 2013 have an offline Dynasty mode or is it only online? I can't be arsed with online.

Have they said if the 94 roster will be in? Don't have internet right now except for my phone, and some of you know how much of a pain that it is...

No 94 roster. They would have to contact the players individually because the NHLPA doesn't not have that kind of agreement with its retired members. Gretzky and Roenick will be in, though.

I got NHL 2013, and the controls piss me off. I keep thinking I'm playing NHL 2004 on my PS2, so I end up pressing "x" to shoot.

The one thing which sucked about NHL 94 was that fighting was removed luckily EA has totally forgotten about this rejoice!

Absolutely love NHL 14'.

I always use the 'Be a GM' mode and select the Fantasy Draft option.

My teams are always big and physical, and I play a very similar style to the LA Kings/St. Louis Blues.
