Matt Borne/Osbourne, the original Doink, was found dead this morning. 57 years old.

Matt Borne was a good worker and highly underrated.

I loved his tag team work with the late Buzz Sawyer.

I don't think I ever saw him in a match.

Wonder if they are going to stop bringing back the character now.

awful news :( quite often hear "so and so would have accomplished this if he'd been born 20-30 years earlier", this guy would probably have been better off being born 20-30 years later since wrestling nowadays isn't half the "drug and booze" culture that is used to be. On par with guys like Punk, Ambrose, Pillman etc in terms of those guys with "edgy" and believable personalities, could have been a millionaire.

Had a lot of history in the old Portland territory.

His run in Mid-South as a member of The Rat Pack is great too.

Didn't this guy wrestle at the first Wrestlemania? Pretty sweet claim to fame that no one remembers because you're a clown.

Also, his feud with Bam Bam and Luna was pretty much the only time I ever cared about Bam Bam. Yeah I know Bam Bam was skilled as fuck and all but nothing he ever did ever really pulled me in other than that.

one of my favs of all-time when he portrayed Doink. He'll be featured a lot on the Mid South DVD too I believe as part of the Rat Pack. Never got to see any of their work so I am looking forward to it.

He stole the show as Doink and his mannerisms and promos were amazing. he took a ridiculous character and made it work perfectly. love watching WrestleMania 9 just for his promo and match.

Was just watching this match. Nothing special, fun little match, but the highlight of course is Bobby Heenan on commentary

It was the fact that I questioned why the fuck a dude would want to be a pro wrestler...dressed as a clown. I just wasn't smart enough about the business at the time so I was thinking Kayfabish.
