Chilled out game music
It's not something I see anyone talk about but what is the most "chilled out" game in terms of music? I can't think of any OST more chilled out than the OST for Populous: The Beginning.
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TuDV-qrL5H8?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I could play a single level for hours and not get sick of the music. Just building endlessly. When I had it on the PS1, I would build until the game froze. I have it on PC now and i'm tempted to give it a spin. |

Most relaxing piece of game music I've heard in a long time. Put this on repeat and and enjoy the peace. |
Easily

Kira wins; posted what I was gonna post. Also look up DKC's Bramble Bush or whatever. Very chill.

I always found Bramble Blast and Aquatic Ambience to actually be pretty depressing when I listen to them as a kid.
|
Those tracks were the closest thing to being high at the time. It started my old thing of pausing or remaining idle in a game just for the music.

Quake 1

Perfect Dark, Chicago stage.

Minecraft. Could listen to it all day

DKC and DKC2 OSTs are pretty much the best VG music on the planet so whoever said that wins.

I love the Shenmue soundtrack, extremely relaxing, it is the only game soundtrack I have on my phone.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim after you get past some danger and the music changes and then you know you are safe to fast travel.

Also have to add Far Away from Red Dead Redemption to the mix. Very much needed after the fairly long mission to get to where you need to go for the music to play.

Would it have killed them to have a Sonic style drowning animation? |
