TNA Impact Spoilers for July 25th

SPOILER: show
FULL SPOILERS FOR NEXT WEEK'S IMPACT
By Brandon Cayton on 2013-07-18 21:28:47
Explosion:

Eric Young defeated Wes Brisco.

Impact for 7/25/13:

Hernandez vs. Mr. Anderson: Anderson wins with the Mic Check.

Ultimate X match for the X Division Championship: Manik vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Greg M. - Manik wins in a really fun match. Crowd was behind Manik for most of the match.

Main Event Mafia came out for a promo. They say they are not done with Aces and Eights. They bring out Chris Sabin, who addressed the crowd. He challenged the winner of the Ultimate X match "later tonight" to a match next week in a champion vs. champion match. Bully Ray came out with his attorney to say they are filing a lawsuit if the title isn't returned to him.

Velvet Sky came out to cut a promo on Mickie James. Mike Johnson doesn't get her but we sure did. She is staying out for...

Mickie James vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship: The crowd was behind ODB as she officiated the match. The finish came when Mickie went outside and Gail slapped ODB, only to get rolled up by Mickie when she came back in. After the match, Gail got in ODB's face and Brooke Hogan came out to remind Gail that ODB is still an active competitor.

Bound for Glory series match: Christopher Daniels beat Samoa Joe after Mr. Anderson came down and distracted Joe.

AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy is the main event. Huge pop for Hardy when he comes out. Excellent back and forth match that saw AJ Styles win by submission.

Overall this was a fun show. There was a lot of action and it went by quickly. This was the first show I've been to since they came to St. Louis for Lockdown a few years ago.

"TNA iMPACT! Wrestling live event in Cape Giradeau, Missouri on Saturday night turned into a complete disaster when the card had to be drastically altered due to six wrestlers being unable to compete as scheduled.

The Missouri Athletic Commission would not allow Chris Sabin, Garrett Bischoff, Jay Bradley, Wes Brisco, Gail Kim and Miss Tessmacher to work matches because they did not have current licenses to wrestle. TNA wasn’t aware of this until they got to the arena and had to make major changes.

As a result, the event in Cape Giradeau on Saturday night opened with a TNA agent (Pat Kenney) coming out to the ring to announce that the aforementioned six wrestlers would not be wrestling on the show as advertised. Instead, the following card took place across approximately 90 mins in front of 500 fans, with five total matches (three of which featured double-duty performances):

* Bully Ray vs. James Storm
* Devon vs. Gunner
* Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Roode
* Gunner & James Storm vs. Bully Ray & Devon
* Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle

TNA attempted to save face with the fans in attendance by inviting them backstage after the show to meet the stars for free. That too fell apart in a sense, as Jeff Hardy, arguably the biggest star available, charged $20 for a photo and reportedly would not sign autographs."

GODDAMMIT TNA!!

"Creatures" not being able to get autographs are going to doom you all to hell. Feel sorry again for these "Creatures" of the night.

You know, for a company that wants to compete with the WWE, they sure make mistakes that a basic indy fed wouldn't do. Good Lord TNA, get your shit together.

James Steele 07-22-2013 04:48 AM

How much does a wrestling license cost in Missouri and what all do you need to get one? You figure the athletic commission would have some schmuck there at the event to make easy money off of the wrestlers/dumb promoter.

Edit: The Missouri Athletic Commission's website won't even load. No wonder these guys couldn't get their licenses. I smell a work. Hulk Hogan must have had an orgy that got out of hand before the show.

Curd 07-22-2013 08:40 PM

I guess TNA didn't want to give local talent NAMBLA Man a tryout. I heard he works for CHW.

MAC licenses are $400.00 for a boxing or wrestling promoter, the promoter must be on hand at the event at all times and their license and their event permit must be displayed at the entrance/curtain area of the boxing/wrestling participants.

MAC licenses are 150.00 per constestant for boxing or wrestling. Licenses must be shown to the MAC official on hand at the event at a minimum of 3 hours prior to the event starting.

Permits for MAC for a boxing/wrestling event are 1500.00 for the organization and 150.00 permit fee for each contestant on the card. Event cards must be submitted in writing at least 10 days prior to the event and must be approved by MAC prior to the event. Any changes to event card require prior approval of MAC official on hand at the event and replacement competitors must be licensed, verified, and present 1 hour before scheduled belltime for a boxing/wrestling event.

All licenses are required to be renewed with MAC on a yearly basis and must be verfied in full on the 29 day after the license was initially issued or renewal will turn into and be treated as new/initial license, with a 15% penalty increase for not renewing on time.
