How do you go from Seth McFarlane to Ellen?

Kind of a lame choice.

Ellen is fantastic.

He/she who produces the oscars, gets to choose the host.

I thought Seth McFarlane was the best host they've had in years, personally.

I remember last time Ellen hosted she had some lame bit about vacuuming the front row.

you thought wrong, Ellen is a delight and Seth McFarlane kind of sucks

They both suck and the Oscars is awful television.

Ellen does a nice job hosting her talk show and I enjoyed her sitcom but I just think it's a very safe choice to host the show.

I was hoping since McFarlane doesn't have the time to host a second go-round we'd get someone else fun and witty, like Russel Brand.

I liked McFarlane too.

Loved Seth as the host. Fuck the haters. Ellen used to be funny. Maybe she'll do alright.

Seth was terrible (probably because he's just terrible in general), and Ellen was delightful last time (probably because she's just delightful in general). Excellent choice.

Ellen will be serviceable but I can't imagine her having any zingers. It will just be 'nice humor' again where no one gets offended and the humor is all family friendly.

The Oscars is so congratulatory it just seems to work better for the telecast when you have more of a 'roaster' as the host to provide balance (imo).

Unless the Muppets hosted. I think it would be kind of a cool idea to have the Muppets host because it would be something really different.
