Good Comedy Sequels

Can you name any? trying to, can't right now off the top of my head.

DaveBrawl 09-03-2013 11:39 AM

The Hangover movies maybe. I don't really remember the 2nd one though. #3 was pretty funny.

whiteyford 09-03-2013 11:51 AM

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Corporate CockSnogger 09-03-2013 11:57 AM

I think Bogus Journey was superior to the original.

Lock Jaw 09-03-2013 12:14 PM

Uhhh.... ummmm..... American Pie 2? Maybe?

It featured evil robot us's and Death, c'mon now.

whiteyford 09-03-2013 12:36 PM

And all he wanted was good not necessarily superior.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-03-2013 12:39 PM

This is due to Savior's lack of vision and general "chutzpath." We shouldn't limit ourselves.

whiteyford 09-03-2013 12:50 PM

I will go on record as saying Bogus Journey is at the very least on par with Excellent Adventure, both are modern day comedy classics.

Except for the maybe part.

The Naked Gun 2 and a half and 33 and a 1/3rd.

weather vane 09-03-2013 06:12 PM

Home Alone 2
Major League 2
Goldmember
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey
Cheech and Chong Nice Dreams and Still Smokin (if they can be considered sequels)
Jackass sequels
Next Friday
Hot Shots: Part Deux
Ghostbusters 2
Clerks 2
Vegas/Christmas Vacation

Tazz Dan 09-04-2013 05:02 AM

Wayne's World 2
Austin Powers 2&3

road doggy dogg 09-04-2013 06:00 AM

Another vote for Ghostbusters 2. I enjoyed it more than the first (I realize I'm in the minority), but at the very least (in other peoples' eyes) it was enjoyable.
I don't know if it's considered a comedy but Toy Story 2 and 3 are A++++++++++
Back to the Future 2 (3 not so much...)
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (at the time when I was young it was hilar)
Shrek 2
crossrine

Rammsteinmad 09-04-2013 06:23 AM

I'm one of the few people that enjoyed Mr. Beans Holiday. Not as good as Bean, but still good.

I disagree with these selections, Goldmember was bad, HA2 was a kids movie, Cheech and Chong aren't funny, and Jackass is......Jackass. Its a category of its own.

road doggy dogg 09-04-2013 08:13 AM

Those are terrible criticisms. If you don't like the original source material of course you will think the sequels are bad. And as far as I'm aware, the original Home Alone movie was a kids movie as well.

criticisms? That should only apply to cheech and chong, I liked "A.P. 1"and Jackass doesnt have a plot thats why I think it should be in a category by itself

Yes which makes it not a comedy.

Corporate CockSnogger 09-04-2013 09:40 AM

What? Of course Home Alone's a comedy.

Innovator 09-04-2013 09:52 AM

I thought it was a tutorial

The Condor 09-04-2013 10:22 AM

Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are good, funny family movies. Who doesn't want to see Joe Pesci get hit in the face with a full tool chest or swinging paint can? But yes, Ghostbusters 2 is definitely the first thing that came to mind. Holding out hope for the Anchorman sequel later this year.

weather vane 09-04-2013 11:27 AM

Savior you are such a squid.

weather vane 09-04-2013 11:28 AM

I'm the biggest Home Alone 2 fan as well. Movie is underrated. So many sick quotes.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-04-2013 02:39 PM

Wayne's World 2 is kinda poor compared to the first film.

Razzamajazz 09-04-2013 05:25 PM

the shrek movies

XCaliber 09-04-2013 06:30 PM

Other than some of the ones already mentioned i'd like to add Short Circuit 2.

Squid? Who are you Otto from Rocket Power?

Bad News Gertner 09-05-2013 09:52 AM

I have such high hopes for Anchorman 2.

Wayne's World 2 was terrible. Toy Story 2 and 3 are amazing.

Greatest sequel of all: Caddyshack 2.

Shisen Kopf 09-05-2013 10:26 AM

If they made Good Burger 2 then that. But as it stands right now they haven't. So...greatest hahaha funny sequel is Police Academy 4 Citizens on Patrol.

whiteyford 09-05-2013 12:04 PM

Police Academy was fine until Mission to Moscow, killed the franchise right there.

:nono::nono:

Short Circuit 2 is sooooo bad; not even in a good way. The first film, however, is awesome, as is Ally sheedy.

Beverly Hills Cop II

Emperor Smeat 09-07-2013 08:33 PM

Scary Movie 2
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

Fignuts 09-08-2013 02:17 AM

Hopefully Anchorman 2 falls into this category.

ClockShot 09-08-2013 08:24 AM

I know Analyze This was fantastic. Never saw Analyze That.

Heard it was good.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-08-2013 08:44 AM

Screw Major League 2. It was PG and ruined the vibe of the first one. Same thing goes for Austin Powers 2 and 3. They ruined the first movie. I have to pretend they aren't canon to even be able to watch the original now.

parkmania 09-08-2013 09:35 AM

I'm still waiting for Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2.

That and History of the World Part II.

Fignuts 09-08-2013 08:01 PM

I found Puss n Boots to be funnier than any of the shriek movies. Dunno if that counts as a sequel though.
