Has workrate ever brought you to tears?

Have you ever watched a really great match between artist combatants that has been so full of honor and rassle that it made you cry? I don't cry ever b/c I am a real American (USA #1) but I'm sure some of you here do. I think if a match would move me, the workrate coefficient would have to be at least 45.55%. Agree? Good.

Savio 10-10-2013 12:02 PM

Any match featuring Bobby Jaggers

Hanso Amore 10-10-2013 12:24 PM

After watching Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue vs. Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi back in 93 I nearly killed myself. Life could never be as sweet as those moments.

Since that day food hasnt tasted the same. I can find no more beauty in the world. Every day has been just another revolution on this mortal coil. Another day trudging away from that perfect moment, and towards the sweet embrace of death.

Shisen Kopf 10-10-2013 12:24 PM

If Bobby Jaggers had ever rassled in an ERAG match that would have been truly moving.

Hanso Amore 10-10-2013 12:29 PM

ERAG?

Shisen Kopf 10-10-2013 01:16 PM

YouTube it. Be warned though, you may cry

If he doesn't, he has no soul.

Hanso Amore 10-10-2013 01:30 PM

Im not a ginger

Anybody Thrilla 10-10-2013 01:32 PM

I'll bite.

I remember tearing up a little at the end of HBK/Ric Flair from Wrestlemania 24. I think it was just more the end of a career I'd seen all through my childhood than the workrate, though.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-10-2013 02:53 PM

Every Bret the hitman Hart match has this effect on me. #excellenceofexecution

One of my favorite matches ever, but there was negative work rate going on in that match. Was all emotion/Storytelling, which ROH will never have.

I was at Rasslemania 24 in Orlando and that was a very emotional match. 7/10

Bad News Gertner 10-10-2013 05:46 PM

Heath Slater pinning Brodus Clay on Main Event this week had me in tears.

I actually thought about this match when I saw this topic.

#1-norm-fan 10-10-2013 05:58 PM

However as an American, I too did not cry. (USA #1 and such)

Shisen Kopf 10-10-2013 06:46 PM

Good job at not crying number 1. You are a real American.

Anybody Thrilla 10-11-2013 10:35 AM

God damn it. I'm a fake American. :'(

(USA #6)

Heisenberg 10-11-2013 10:42 AM

I only cry when I hear HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2x4 USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rogerer 10-11-2013 10:48 AM

European Uppercut my heart

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-11-2013 11:57 AM

Also any match with the great Reno Riggins. He really captured the emotion in his selling.

Look at Reno carrying that bum Hennig to a great match.

Heisenberg 10-11-2013 02:22 PM

Tatanka during his undefeated streak, I wouldn't use the bathroom until he tomahawked someone and then I'd spill milk on my pants and try to run out in traffic if he looked to be losing

Emperor Smeat 10-11-2013 02:36 PM

Not for the actual work rate itself but felt emotional after several big moments such as Flair's and HBK's retirement matches and the ending to Mania 20 for recent stuff.

Shisen Kopf 10-11-2013 02:38 PM

Please limit conversation in this thread to workrate and only workrate related tears. Thank you.

James Steele 10-12-2013 01:57 PM

I openly weeped during the HHH/Steiner matches in 2003.

DAMN iNATOR 10-12-2013 02:13 PM

I think Kane's workrate is heavily underrated. That brings me to tears.

Guy went on an absolute fucking tear in 2010 as World Heavyweight Champion.

Mr. Nerfect 10-13-2013 12:28 AM

I am not ashamed in the slightest to admit that I cried during Paul London vs. Akio.

Juan 10-13-2013 01:35 AM

Why do you even make threads like this? Seriously, you and Gertner are the only ones who ever bring up the word workrate and then you giggle about it and say to yourselves, "nailed it!"

Juan 10-13-2013 01:37 AM

I mean, if workrate is all anyone talked about, I could see making a thread to poke fun at it, but it seems odd to just bring it up just to make yourself giggle because you have nothing better to do.

#1-norm-fan 10-13-2013 04:27 AM

Workrate is incredibly serious business, Juan.

It didn't make me cry, but the Benoit/Jericho/Angle match at WrestleMania 2000 was pretty awesome.

I do well up when I think of Mick Foley though and his super sick hardcore matches.

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!

I remember when "Johnny Polo" used to talk about how awesome Reno Riggins was, and his devastating "Reno-plex" that he never hit on anyone in the history of ever.

So?

Shisen Kopf 10-17-2013 07:56 AM

Juan wants to be the forum police and wants to control what people post here.

Bad News Gertner 10-17-2013 08:38 AM

Wait Shisen. Was that post "Juan Authorized"?

Shisen Kopf 10-17-2013 09:10 AM

Yeah, it has a burrito. From now on if we make a post that Juan may not like include a picture of a burrito, taco or chimichanga and he'll like it.
