Spoilers - SMACKDOWN - October 18th
 

* SmackDown opens with Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox together. They talk about what Big Show did at the end of RAW on Monday. Daniel Bryan comes out to a big pop. Big Show's music hits but he doesn't come out. The say he's banned from the arena tonight. WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust are out next. Maddox and Vickie make The Shield vs. Bryan, Rhodes and Goldust for tonight's main event.


1 - Luke Harper and Erick Rowan defeated The Miz and Kofi Kingston. Bray Wyatt watched the match from his rocking chair.


2 - Brie Bella defeated AJ Lee in a non-title match.


* Big Show makes his way to the ring from the crowd and says he's filed a lawsuit against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Maddox and Vickie come back out to confront him. Show says he has nothing to lose and hits Maddox with the knockout punch.


3 - CM Punk defeated Big E Langston.


* Josh Mathews interviews World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in the ring about his match with John Cena at Hell In a Cell. Cena appears on the big screen and upsets Del Rio. Del Rio ends up attacking Mathews.


* The Usos defeated Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro when Los Matadores came out with El Torito to distract The Real Americans.


* Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated The Shield in the main event. Bryan, Rhodes and Goldust lead a 'YES' chant to close the show.

Sounds like a great smackdown so far. Shisen should tape this.

More detailed results have Ryback and Axel trying to jump Punk after the match, but BIG E LANGSTON makes the save and clears house.

Personally, I'd love to see Big E take the IC title from Axel and make it worth something.

I want to see Big E team with AJ again.

Clearly he should. On his brand-new BetaMax machine!

Still haven't decided if I will tape this. Will pray about it.

Businessly they need to do something with Big E again.

Actually when the time is right to push him to the IC belt, if it ever comes, give him a couple months with it. I remember big Zeke Jackson having a pretty solid run with it for a power guy.

And the whole segment actually did a good deal to develop Big E. and give him motivation. He has something to prove now, that he's not "the moderately talented rookie" that Heyman claims he is. Something you can build off of in the future, if they choose to do so. The key words there.

To be fair, he's already more ready for a run with the IC belt than Axel has ever been.
