If you wanted to turn John Cena heel

If you wanted to turn John Cena heel, what storyline and feud would you put him in? Noid, I know you want to jump in.

Savio 11-10-2013 07:34 PM

Cena is shown backstage beating children and promoting cancer.

JimmyMess 11-10-2013 07:35 PM

Ol Dirty Dastard 11-10-2013 07:54 PM

I think I woulda dones Cena's turn the same way they did Punk's most recent heel turn.

Love it, maybe add a hitler mustache and an aryan philosophy on life.

He ends The Streak at WrestleMania XXX by beating the shit out of The Undertaker with a steel chair and a fast count by Stephanie McMahon.

It would have to be a VERY slow turn starting out with lots of close losses, followed by an "injury" that The Authority force him to work through, even though he's incapable of getting anyone up in the AA or into the STF. If it hasn't happened in real life, have Cena marry his Bella. After some devastating losses, he finally heals, but continues to lose the close matches. Show some backstage segments where Make-A-Wish kids start questioning if Cena has lost "it". Have a pep talk with Cena's dad turn into a "Well, have you?" session, after which Cena finally starts winning matches aggressively but won't talk to anyone backstage.

Eventually have Daniel Bryan approach his brother-in-law about how he should be happy that he's back on the winning track, only to have Cena snap and beat the holy hell out of DB until agents come and break it up. At this point you can also split the Bellas, or have Mr. and Mrs. Cena "divorce" over Cena's new attitude.

Release a country album, possibly featuring a duet with Bieber.

So you want John Cena to turn into owenbrown?

Wishbone 11-11-2013 02:19 AM

WWE lost their opportunity to turn Cena heel convincingly when they didn't do it against The Rock. If being booed by everyone for a guy who had ditched the WWE for Hollywood didn't make him snap then nothing will.

That being said Cena's better as a face anyway. The guy is the face of wrestling right now (no matter what HHH and Steph would have you believe :shifty:) and that's not gonna change in the foreseeable future.

People constantly talk about Cena turning heel and say that it worked for Hogan but what they don't realize is that by the time Hogan did it he'd pretty much milked the Hulkamania thing dry and NEEDED a change. Cena on the other hand is still marketable as is, and as they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Maybe he should do a backstage segment with former WWE employee Tod Grisham and acquire the managerial services of Shawn Davari and talk about how he wants USA to lose the war in Iraq, how France is the greatest country, how he is not a fan of the black people and how he wishes to go back in time and make Jesus tap out.

And he needs to do the French Tickler while at it...

It is the French Tickler, right?

After losing to the Undertaker at WM, the Undertaker tries to shake his hand he puts his hand out only to do the "YOU CAN'T SEE ME" taunt and gives him the AA followed by him walking out of the ring and as he goes up the ramp and closer to the exit/entrance, he puts on his big chain or something, gives the crowd another taunt followed by a smirk as he disappears to the back.

Be as racist as humanly possible.

Try that AFTER he beats him at Wrestlemania.

Become like Bo Dallas basically. Still thinks and acts like he is a face, but will do cowardly things and cheat to win and be all like "look, he isn't even in my league. We all know Cena would win, I am just sparing us some time by cheating."

Also become obsessed with his merch sales. Be all like "Who wants my t-shirt?" while feigning to throw it into the crowd, but then he will just fold it and put it on the apron and say "Great! They are on sale at the mercy stand or on wwe shop.com!"

Mr. Nerfect 11-11-2013 08:58 PM

I'd probably do it either at WrestleMania or shortly after to make a big splash. Maybe have The Undertaker challenge John Cena to a match and Cena actually turn it down. "Not at WrestleMania, Dead Man -- I've got other fish to fry." No one really makes the case that Cena is scared, but he dodges the match and doesn't "give the fans what they want." Cena is still World Heavyweight Champion at this point in time, by the way.

Cena defends the WHT against Royal Rumble Winner, CM Punk, at WrestleMania XXX. Punk wins the title cleanly there with the GTS in a well-worked match, becoming a four-time World Heavyweight Champion and reclaiming his spot as "Best in the World." At the April PPV (which I would change from being Extreme Rules), however, Cena manages to win the title back in a shady, shady way, screwing over Punk and making sure he holds his World Title again.

Punk is a man good enough on the mic to explain the insecurities of John Cena -- to explain how with his mounting injuries and in a realm currently occupied by the likes of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, he is threatened by pure ability and needs to cheat to retain his spot at the top.

Yeah, whatever, that'll do...

Tony Revolution 11-12-2013 01:33 AM

I've said this for a while, but Cena already is kind of a heel based solely on crowd reaction, not at all on his character. I would have him do kind of what Bo Dallas is doing on NXT.

By all accounts, he is a face, the face of NXT, but is booed out of the building every week. He continues his good guy, "I'm doing all this cause I'm a great guy, love me" routine week in and week out, despite the crowd audibly hating him.

If cena just started fighting faces but continued his schtick, just with a little more sarcasm and a sense that no one in the crowd is behind what he's saying, I think they already have a heel Cena. All it takes is him fighting the 'faces' instead of the 'heels' and laughing off the heat he gets every week. "Aw, you guys! I love when you voice your oppinions!" That annoyed me to write, Cena doing this week after week, while resorting to heel tactics would be infuriating.

Tony Revolution 11-12-2013 01:40 AM

Wrestlers keeping some heel traits as faces has happened numerous times, Austin being the most notable, Dolph being the most recent. The reverse would work for Cena, keeping his face traits while sprinkling a dash of passive agressive sarcasm towards the universe.

Vastardikai 11-12-2013 02:49 AM

I would say he should start expecting to get favorable treatment. After all, he's been on top for 10 years Strong.
