on my third system since last wee, Fifa is a 50/50 as to whether it loads same with dead Rising no issues with Cod
anyone else the same?

First system, had it almost 2 weeks. Runs like a charm. Hopefully it stays that way

Damn, mine is still running strong, I barely played it heavily until this last week when I played The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls.

I'm hoping it stays alive to serve as a Blu-Ray and nostalgia player.

It's the old version as well. 2008 sounds like the year I bought mine, doesn't seem that far away, time is steady it seems.

I'm about to have some cash to invest into one of the two gaming systems, kind of anxious to see how South Park goes with their episode tonight, it could sway me. I'm a huge Cartman mark so I might join his side, but Lady Kenny is on point

There are a few things pissing me off so far, no iplayer despite it being billed as a super multimedia mega entertainment system, and the fact it keeps making me sign in to play assassins creed despite the fact I know the kinect knows it's me. Pretty lame.

iPlayer is because MS wants all video apps to only be available to Gold members, but BBC refuses if a subscription is required. Microsoft will back down at some point like they did on the 360.

Ugh is it that much of a thing? I thought the bbc were just being lazy or something. It's really fucking up masterchef for me and the missus :mad: have to watch it through stupid Apple TV via the ipad. Feel like such a technology douche.

Yeah, was on the PS4 at launch because Sony doesn't restrict the video thing. I'm annoyed though because you can't get 4OD on the PS4 yet, so it's a balancing act. Neither are on the Wii U because no-one owns the bastards. Lucky to even have Netflix.

Feel like you should have a fedora while using 2 Apple products at the same time.

You know what's worse? I lost the remote so I use the remote app on my iPhone to do it.

I didn't want to leave my XBOX One last night, that thing is impressive. I have it in my cave, and PS4 is in the living room(my brother's). We are going to have console wars this weekend.



Question:

I'm at work so I can't research or tinker, but I have a strict NAT on my connection and probably a Linksys Wireless-N router that needs to frig off, but is it easy like opening a few ports and stuff or do I need to put my belt on the line and upgrade my modem/router?

get a different router. I traded my Link-Sys back in and bought a Netgear because I just didn't like it compared to my old Netgear, which I had to give back to TimeWarner. It's a very simple modem, didn't have to do anything with the ports. Plugged it in, set a password and have had no NAT issues.

Except for a random one the other day, but it might have been something with my modem. I unplugged it, let it restart then everything was fine

Haha, ok, I hooked the damn thing up without giving it a chance for a restart.

I will definitely try that out before storming angrily into Best Buy.

I'm trying to make this work day flow by fast so I can enjoy the console fully for a night or two.

Heisenberg, unless we are full up you are always welcome to run with us in Ghosts. I just kinda jumped in so I'm going to blame my shit run on not knowing the maps, having shit load outs, and new controls (or something).

All is good, I had to bail out of that run due to unexpected company, then I went back to finishing Dead Rising 3, man, that game is good as hell.

Dude, I just upgraded to the Asus N66u "dark knight", that thing like doubles my Internet speed and opens up both the 360 and One ports every time just on upnp. For the first time in years I don't have to fuck with ports, static ips and dmzs

IN other news, i tried that stupid DIY Xbox One headset adapter mod yesterday and managed to get everything except voice to work. Fuck it, i'll wait for the official adapter.

Stupid as shit that they didnt have that adapter ready at launch. Even stupider is the fact that MS didnt just go with Bluetooth.

They were never going to support Bluetooth. Why support a standard when they can flog you licensed goods?

Wouldn't be shocked if the Bluetooth patch doesn't come out for the PS4 either and it uses some other wireless thingy.

I saw a guy using a wireless keyboard on the xbox ONE, yet I'm that posta that has a wireless keyboard that doesn't work. It has a USB sensor thing, no dice.

im actually kinda surprised no third party companies have beat MS to the punch since it's been revealed how (relatively) easy it is to mod the existing adapter.

i decided to go splurge and buy an xbox one the other day. battlefield 4 and dead rising 3 are beautiful.
