Triple H Officially Head of Creative

I think this is a good thing. With Triple H now the head of the creative does that make it the first time in many, many years (or ever) that one of the boys is the go-to guy? I mean I know he's been in a power position for a long time, but like I said I think this is a big step in the right direction.

We've seen how this situation didn't work out in WCW (granted there were a lot of reasons for that), but I think this is very unique and can lead to a better show on TV.

Thoughts?

From what I've heard, HHH is a lot easier to get along with as a figurehead backstage than Stephanie, which might leave creative writers more at ease. Vince still has the final say, but I think Triple H will do well in the spot.

James Steele 12-05-2013 06:17 PM

Gentlemen, we are at the precipice of the dawning of the greatest era in the entire history of professional wrestling and sports entertainment.

Innovator 12-05-2013 06:20 PM

Steele is now writing a cover of Age of Aquarius, "Age of the King of Kings"

JimmyMess 12-05-2013 06:43 PM

I was waiting for Steele's reaction, and I was not disappointed.

Yeah I see the wrestlers being able to approach him with a more easy going approach because he can relate to any issues they have or ideas they want to pitch.

Kingofdaswing 12-05-2013 08:03 PM

Doesn't matter who runs creative to be honest, the writers are the same, and you will no doubt see the same shit.

I have no doubt that HHH will do shit to help the creative direction of this company, if anything he will make it worse, if possible.

owenbrown 12-05-2013 08:26 PM

isn't it an unwritten rule here that new posters not make themselves mortal enemies of James Steele?

Yeah Vince still has final control but if Triple H handles being in charge of Creative like he did with NXT, it should be a really good move for the WWE in the long run.

#1-norm-fan 12-05-2013 09:51 PM

It could be good in the long run but as long as Vince has the final say I'm not expected the booking to suddenly stop being out of touch and nonsensical.

GD 12-05-2013 09:56 PM

So Triple H will try to undo every over superstar from now onwards.

GD 12-05-2013 09:58 PM

It's right for business.

GD 12-05-2013 09:59 PM

Mistico will return as Sin Cara and defeat Randy Orton and John Cena on the same night to become the new Unified Champion.

GD 12-05-2013 10:01 PM

On a serious note, I am looking forward to some good storylines and in-ring bouts.

Bad News Gertner 12-05-2013 10:22 PM

I have a feeling Bad News Gertner will weigh in on this

Black Widow 12-05-2013 10:27 PM

Hasn't Triple H been a major influence on NXT's direction. Yeah, this is a good thing.

Bad News Gertner 12-05-2013 10:50 PM

He's been the driving force behind the tag division, he's trying out different tlanet, some have worked some haven't. Would like to see better writers.

Sorry, just my opinion but the less HHH the better

#1-norm-fan 12-06-2013 12:01 AM

I like this guy.

Bad News Gertner 12-06-2013 12:26 AM

Gentlemen, I've got some good news, and some bad news.

The good news is, an actual wrestler is heading up creative

Bad News Gertner 12-06-2013 12:26 AM

The bad news is: Wrestlemania 45 spoiler alert: HHH retains

In the last 6 to 7 week or so- basically post Battle Grounds RAW the WWE has almost reached 2009 boring/bad.... Bryan and Punk being downgraded, Miz flip flopping, Orton/Cena yet again.

Tommy Gunn 12-06-2013 09:45 AM

Watching Raw every week has definitely become more of a chore than a pleasure. The Authority storyline is the worst thing they've done in forever; putting Big Show in the main event because they've fucked up or cancelled other feuds.

Vastardikai 12-06-2013 12:27 PM

Why can't Raw be booked by Vince, Heyman, and Coulter with a little input from Hunter and Steph?

Heyman and Vince are night and day right now when it comes to booking strategy and Vince would never give Heyman the creative control he would want.

parkmania 12-06-2013 09:21 PM

If WWE can get away from the apparent current creative process - nothing gets planned out until 2 or less hours from TV time - to the point that we can even consider getting long-term booking, then I'm all for the move.

Unfortunately, it seems that WWE is so paranoid about SPOILERS that they won't commit to anything until they absolutely have to.

Not Booked 12-06-2013 09:52 PM

I remember watching that CM Punk angle after the 'pipebomb' and thinking that there was no way anyone could screw it up. He was wildly over, getting legitimate media attention, and it even seemed wrestling was on the verge of a mainstream crossover. Imagine if Punk had 'stolen' the belt - attending other sports events with it, movie premieres, overseas wrestling promotions, done whatever - before finally defeating HHH/McMahon in a WM main event. Instead HHH (and the Rock) buried him in a series of crappy matches and worse promos.

Then you have Daniel Byran, the Invasion, Randy Orton when he was a red-hot anti-hero heel, Christian, RVD, Jericho, Kane, Booker T and lets not even talk about Raw when EVERY week (for what seemed like years) opened with one of HHHuuuuhhhhhh's semi-illiterate, droning monologues.

So no, I'm not that excited by this prospect.

Shadrick 12-06-2013 11:55 PM

Rock did not bury Punk lololol

Shadrick 12-06-2013 11:56 PM

His match with Rock was great and Punk looked like a million bucks.

Shadrick 12-06-2013 11:56 PM

i can't believe you said he was buried. 434 days bro. swag.

Shadrick 12-06-2013 11:57 PM

Theres a reason why you're not booked.

Shadrick 12-06-2013 11:57 PM

where is gertner? i believe we have some bad news.

Bad News Gertner 12-07-2013 12:17 AM

Bad News Gertner told me he's only around when he's by a computer and not when he's viewing TPWW on his phone.

Yeah! What sort if poster goes out of his way to alienate himself against others??

Bad News Gertner 12-07-2013 06:52 AM

Unheard of in these parts

mike adamle 12-07-2013 08:00 AM

OB is still the redheaded step sister of TPWW eh? Damn, I felt like it would change when I stopped regularly posting but nope.

I get that much, but I remember hearing something along the lines of one of the better Raw's we had from a while ago was based off of a last second booking by Vince, Heyman, and Coulter with input from Stephanie.

My big thing, even if Heyman isn't involved, would be to have the wrestling aspect of the show be handled by people who have experience in being involved in wrestling, instead of failed sitcom writers.

KIRA 12-09-2013 12:10 AM

Heres hoping HHH is clued in to how ridiculously out of touch Vince is with pop culture(and life in general sometimes) and can talk him out of his dumber ideas.
