THREE'S COMPANY

Any other fans? I used to absolutely love that show, since I grew up with it, and in fact I still do. I'm watching a massive marathon of it right now on "Nick at Night." Suzanne Sommers, Joyce Dewitt, and the late, great John Ritter. Oh, plus the Ropers, and Mr. Furley! Great show!

Loose Cannon 05-16-2004 12:44 AM

Alright let's start this off

Come and knock on our door.......

We've been waiting for you...

el fregadero 05-16-2004 02:40 AM

The show isn't that good....

el fregadero 05-16-2004 02:40 AM

But it doesn't suck either, so please don't bitch at me for saying something against the show you so love...

Season 2 was released on DVD on May 4th. Along with un-cut episodes (unlike Nick at Nite), they have the first pilot of the show with John Ritter and two different women, plus a bunch of other bonus features.

Triple A 05-16-2004 05:23 AM

Yeah that show is rather entertaining. Jack Tripper is very gay.

probably in my top ten all time best sitcoms. i think john ritter was way under-rated, great at physical comedy.

I've been watching the same marathon off and on since yesterday too. MY GOD that show ruled more than anything should be allowed to rule by law.

You do know that I was being sarcastic cause you screwed up the theme song we had going right. ;)

YOUR Hero 05-16-2004 10:00 PM

In it's day it was awesome. It went against a lot of society norms, but didn't harp on it, it just was what it was. Also Ritter was good at physical comedy like da_king stated.

My only problem with it was, as the years went on it got stale, but that's true of just about everything. Personally for me, sitcoms have a short 'shelf-life'

Dragon 05-16-2004 10:59 PM

Yeah, I've watched a few episodes from that marathon crap. It is a decent show, John Ritter is quite good at acting like a gay man.

But the show does get pretty stale, as the character above me stated. Like almost every show the theme of it was two characters hearing or seeing something and thinking something was different then it really was, if you understand what I am saying.

YOUR Hero 05-16-2004 11:01 PM

*misunderstandings.

Dragon 05-16-2004 11:04 PM

That is what I said.

YOUR Hero 05-16-2004 11:49 PM

Ooops, my mistake, I thought you meant...

#1-norm-fan 05-17-2004 01:59 AM

So what does everyone think... Furley or Roper?

I say Furley but when Roper makes an insulting comment towards Mrs. Roper and then looks at the audience... GOLD! :D

YOUR Hero 05-17-2004 02:19 AM

The Ropers.

da_king 05-17-2004 08:02 PM

<font color="#ccffcc">

yeah that face mr. roper made was pure gold. i like mr. furley just cause he was so clueless and dumb even though he thought he was some swinging bachleor.
