Just read that they're looking at debuting a new logo

I never liked the current "World Wrestling" logo

Probably be similar. Don't know if they want to include the E in the logo. Why change it so close to debuting a new title belt when it's a huge part of the belt?

I thought that was it. There was something that looked a lot like that one on the hook that had the belts on it at TLC.

It won't be anything offensive or dumb, which means that tons of people will bitch about it.

Here's soemthing that blew my mind the other day: I started watching WWF in August of 1990. The WWF became WWE in March 2002. So that's 11 years, 7 months. March 2002 - now is 11 years, 9 months. So I've been watching WWE longer than I watched WWF.

Even more frightening, I started watching WCW around the same time I picked up on WWF, and they folded in March 2001, which meant that WCW was in existence for 10 years and 7 months of my wrestling viewership. Meaning that WCW was around less than half the time I've been watching.

I IS OLD.

WWF changed to WWE in May, 2002.

I don't know if that will be the new logo or not. It looks like a Wonder Woman thing.

Yeah, I found myself pointing that out to someone who was saying SmackDown should be rebranded to WCW Friday Night Nitro based on the fact that Goldberg might be interested in doing one more match.

Would have been perfect in 2001 with ECW Stars and WCW Titles...Have the two sides of the aliance get a show and the wcw/ecw guys start to split apart on thursday nitro...This would be the start of the brand split.

Eventually you could have had more wcw guys who were on contract to turner sports (even hennig)

No problem. Ya know, a lot of people don’t know, because the last event that was WWF was the U.K.-‘exclusive’ WWF Insurrextion 2002 on 5/5/2002.

I always thought the current one was rushed due to the World Wildlife Fund suing the WWF and them having to "immediately" change their logo so they just chopped off the F rather than adding two horizontal lines to make it an E

Don't think they could have rebranded Smackdown to Nitro even if they wanted to. They tried a couple of years ago to turn Tuesday Night Titans into the Bobby Heenan show. USA said WTF this wasn't in the contract. UPN might not have agreed to the change in what the show was.

All I see is delicious.

USA's objection to the Bobby Heenan show was that it was a fundamentally different program. A talk show and not a "wrestling" show. Rebranding Smackdown as Nitro would have been no different than the Raw Is War/Warzone branding that Raw went through. Now, an attempt to take an hour of Smackdown and use it to broadcast Total Divas would be a different matter.

Going to submit my creation to the WWE and see if it gets chosen.
