I know there's already a thread for the funniest lines, but I thought of making one exclusively for The Rock.

So you guys start, 'coz I suck at remembering the Rock's lines; there are way too many golden ones.

From Raw February 2003 in Toronto (I was there)

"The Rock is: The jabroni eating, pie eating, trail blazing, eye brow raising, stronger than a bear, faster than a buck, the biggest thing to hit Canada cause the Maple Leafs suck!!!

I forget the actual words, but this was sort of the gist of it:

(in the buildup for Hogan/Rock 2)

"In one corner, you've got one of the biggest legends in wrestling history, the man who made wrestling what it is today, without a doubt the greatest champion of all time.....and in the other corner....you've got Hulk Hogan."

Also from Raw 2003 in Toronto (that I attended)

To the Hurricane:

"The Rock knows exactly who you are, green cape, H on your chest, green mask, oh you're the Hamburgler. Get The Rock a cheeseburger, no ketchup!!!

'...and then you used to whisper in the Rocks ear, and say 'Hey Rock, go for second base' and then I would slide my hand up your knee ever so slowly....and then YOU GO AND CUT THE ROCK OFF!'

Raw 1999 (This is your life Segment)

To his ex-girlfriend:

"Now in front of the Rock's fans you come in the middle of People's ring wanting to offer the Rock a giant piece of that Poontang pie? Well the Rock just has one thing to say about that, Poontang your ass on outa here!" :lol:

I always liked the interview where he forgot his lines and started quoting Flair, Savage, Hart and Hogan.

[grumbles about having started this thread earlier, only to drop into the abyss]

...anyway...

during the Rock-Billy Gunn feud that culminated at SummerSlam 99, there was of course, the "IT DOESN'T MATTER" speech that ruled all...

...but there was another hidden gem that took a cue from another classic line he spat out at the Big Show:

"Well, as soon as your music hits... 'WELL, I'M AN A(SS)-HOOOOOOOOLE!!"

man, I wish I could get that on tape.

Another Rock genius moment, was the night he impersonated HHH early in 2000:

"Tonight...uhhhhh.... I am the Game...uhhh.... and I'm going to be talking about absolutely nothing...uhhhh...."

"Well, the Rock says.... uhhhh.... urrrghhhh... YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK!!"

(King goes nuts that the Rock said such a thing after this, later, the Rock says...)

"...well, it's not gonna be another DX Night. Because frankly, the thought of another DX Night makes the Rock want to stick his finger down his throat and spew The People's Vomit all over your candy asses!"

Also his promo before Armageddon 2000 when he imitaded Austin, HHH, Taker, Rikishi, and Kurt Angle

My favorite impression was Stone Cold. "I am going to get into my pick-up truck, drink some Steve-wisers, listen to some Backstreet Boys, and that's the bottom line cause the great one said so."

"god....its me billy.......I won king of the ring but people still think I suck" [/weird voice]

Hard to pick out of all The Rock's greatest lines, but another one of my favorites that haven't been mentioned was when Rock got interviewed by Lilian and kept coming on to her until she wanted it, then made fun of her when she wasn't on the subject of a match that night. Some of the lines "Lilian, The Rock knows you get wet.............with perspiration standing this close to The Great One." "How would Lilian like to try the People's Strudel" Lilian "More than anything in the world, Rock" Rock "What the hell is the matter wit you? A little professionalism Lilian Garcia, please. " Good stuff

and at wrestlemania 20 with Foley:

I can't remember the ENTIRE Rock's 12 Days of Christmas on Test, just 4-2, which was funny enough:

"4 Rock Bottoms, 3 People's Elbows, on your 2 Buck Teeth..."

I know it wasn't really Rock, but when Kurt done that 'interview' with him. That cracked me up alot.

I remember when he forgot his lines. HBK was next to him, and when he quoted Bret, Shawn just burst out laughing.

"Wat'cha gonna do, when.. no thats not it. Oooooo Yeah, dig.. no thats not it. To be the man, WOOOOOOO, you gotta, no thats not it. I'm the best there is, the best there was, no thats not it, If Ya Smeeeeeeell, what the Rock, is cookin'!"

Hey, all of you can't forget this: it was back when we had the WCW/ECW allience....Here is what I remember:

Rock:"I guess its how the saying goes: Booker T hair done by Woopi, Shane McMahon still a pussy!"

Y2J: Hey, you forgot the other two. We are dealing with The Man's Beast, and the ho's beast! We're dealing with the gore, and the whore!!!

"Rock: Oh, this is a ryming contest between you and The Rock. Listen to this....Booker T and Shane: The punk-ass sucka, and the silver spoon mutha ****a!!"

I liked the Rock/Gillberg/Goldberg segment.When Rock brought Gillberg out to pretend to be Goldberg and then when Goldberg came out he tried to blame Gillberg.lol.Went something like this.

Goldberg comes down.Rock looks at Gillberg,"Oh look what you did now,He will come down here and whip your ass".

Three segments come to mind:

A 1999 episode of Sunday Night Heat, where he cut a promo on Billy Gunn. This was the first time he said "It doesn't matter."

During the Rock/Mankind feud for the WWF Title. Out of the many great promos between the two, one stood out: A "Dr. Suess inspired" promo between Rock and Foley explaining how they're going to make each other say I quit at the Royal Rumble.


Shortly after The Giant debuted in the WWF, he and Rock butted heads, and The Rock called him out, telling him to bring his roody-poo, candy ass to the ring. Problem was, everytime he said the insult, the crowd would repeat it before he finished. Rock then gave up and said," We'll go ahead and say my catchprase then: "If you smell what The Rock is cookin'.

The 'La Bamba' Promo on Eddie

The thing with the Radicalz where he says He's gonna slap Perry Saturns crooked eye straight.

You could make a 3 hour video on Rocks classic promo's alone.

It would be way OVER 3 hours, IMO. :y:
