Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack on September 10th, 2012 during a live episode of WWE RAW from the Bell Centre in Montreal. He underwent an angioplasty the following day to improve blood flow to his heart and returned to the ring just 8 months later.
We’ll have an update on this story as soon as it becomes available.

Hope things are okay with him.

Anybody Thrilla 01-06-2014 05:36 PM

I really hope he's OK, but I can do without his commentary.

FourFifty 01-06-2014 05:37 PM

Hopefully it's not cancer....

Guy needs to get off the road every week. He brings down the product more than helping it anyways.

It's a work for Old-School Raw. :shifty:

Only is Papa Shango is going to be there.

But seriously, hope it is nothing bad.

From the more "reputable" PWInsider:

Quote:

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was taken from Raw to a local hospital in Baltimore, Maryland after taking ill this afternoon, reported www.memphisport.com, the website for Sports 560 AM in Memphis, TN.

The website noted Lawler began throwing up and showing other signs of illness and was taken to the hospital. Lawler had blood work done at the hospital and is awaiting the results.

The website noted that Lawler, "is now doing fine."

Fuck you Lock Jaw. Fuck. You.

Lock Jaw 01-06-2014 06:07 PM

What. What did I do.

Bobo 01-06-2014 06:07 PM

No doubt the wwe cameras are following and it'll be on smack down.

Bobo 01-06-2014 06:08 PM

But seriously hope he's ok even I have my limits.

More 'reputable' source. Ryan Clark like Dorothy Mantooth, is a saint.

My thought process was exactly the same, sadly. Is that fucked up?

teamXtremist 01-06-2014 06:59 PM

Get well soon jerry

Kingofdaswing 01-06-2014 07:13 PM

Gonna miss him on Commentary tonight, the two other guys, Cole and JBL are the worst commentary team in wwe history. They are more worried about going back and forth with each other than actually telling the story in the ring. JBL has his moments, but nothing beats Lawlers dry humor.

Hope he gets well.

Nah, not really.

I was originally going to just quote Mr. Thrilla and leave it at that until I saw your post.

I really do hope he's ok though, but as we all saw not too long ago, Raw can survive without him on commentary, but as tonight is "Old School Raw", then his voice may be missed more than if it was just your average episode of Raw.

FourFifty 01-06-2014 11:39 PM

I hope William Regal replaces him.

I love how they used his health scare to shill the WWE app. Every time I think WWE has hit their rock bottom, somebody throws them a shovel.

Okay, between you and the front page jackasses, shut the fuck up. The WWE app exists to provide programming content in a way that a traditional TV broadcast cannot. Lawler's health is an issue that viewers of Raw, who just might be app users, might be interested in. Announcing that it can be found on the app is no different than announcing that they'll have an update before the next commercial break. Sorry to bring your anti-WWE boner down.

Theo Dious 01-07-2014 05:36 PM

And I might also point out that while htey were "using his health scare," he was sitting backstage enjoying the show and trying to get over being sick. Not like his health was a total unknown and his life or death was hanging in the balance.

Must have something different, with Obamacare he would have been euthanised.

Congrats, you two just wrote the next Zeb Colter promo.
