TNA signs another reject

Quote:

According to Wrestling Observer, former WWE Star MVP is scheduled to debut for TNA within the next couple weeks. It should be noted that Wrestling News World has reported interest from TNA in signing MVP the past month or so.
If a wrestler returns and no one sees it does it really happen?

MoFo 01-22-2014 08:36 AM

WWE should sign him, he actually has charisma unlike Ziggler and the otjer vanilla midgets

A profound question, and one for the ages.

While there may currently be no way to establish whether such a return has taken place (i.e. it was on TNA, and nobody watched it) it doesn't mean it doesn't exist or happen. For example, if we are unaware of another human's suffering and they don't tell us or we don't infer it, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Perhaps the more relevant question, rather than does it happen is, does it actually matter?

Too old and wrong time of year. Just my .02

Droford 01-22-2014 08:47 AM

Call him MOI - most outstanding individual/Miles Oliver (some name with an I)

It'd fit in with a gimmick of a guy stuck up on himself since moi is french for me.

Schlomey 01-22-2014 08:49 AM

More like mildly over individual

whiteyford 01-22-2014 08:50 AM

Lol reject.

Schlomey 01-22-2014 08:51 AM

In a few years his initials will need changed to AARP

Anybody Thrilla 01-22-2014 10:07 AM

MVP is pretty good and I like TNA. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

Bad News Gertner 01-22-2014 10:47 AM

Should call him MIA.

Pretty much this.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-22-2014 02:02 PM

MVP denies this on twitter.

slik 01-22-2014 02:39 PM

Will this bring back the poster MVP?

Rollermacka 01-22-2014 03:10 PM

Hmm, I didn't hear anything about MVP getting signed, but I did hear TNA resigning this guy named Antonio Banks that worked for them years ago :shifty:

Anybody Thrilla 01-22-2014 03:17 PM

I thought I remembered him talking about not liking TNA on Colt's podcast a while back.

Translation: He's signed a deal but can't/won't talk about it until he randomly shows up on Impact or they air the first promo for his debut with the company.

Kingofdaswing 01-22-2014 04:52 PM

I wonder what would have happened if the WWF didn't sign a Reject names Steve Austin?

JimmyMess 01-22-2014 04:56 PM

There's a bit of a difference there, chief...

XL 01-22-2014 05:03 PM

Please elaborate, Jimmy.

Lock Jaw 01-22-2014 06:49 PM

He can be EC3's butler

It was clear that Steve Austin was going to be a star when WCW fired him. With MVP I think we have already seen the best of what he is going to bring to the table.

When he debuts your post will get pos rep. Neg rep if he doesn't show up soon.

It was clear? They brought him in as the ringmaster. He's been quoted as saying they had literally no plans for him what so ever.

He was a huge star in WCW tag team champion, United States Champion. It was clear it was a mistake for them to fire him. The Ringmaster doesn't factor into it at all.

Going from the WWF to WCW or vice versa was a lateral move.

Going from the WWE to TNA is like jumping off a cliff.

Swiss Ultimate 01-23-2014 02:09 AM

Yeah, I have trouble buying that the money is comparable to WWE money. I'm guessing it's just better than "indie circuit" money for Kurt Angle. No way he's getting the same cash as he was making before.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-23-2014 02:15 AM

Angle has Spike TV money along with it. He probably does pretty well for himself in TNA. That'll of course stop if Spike drops them. They'll all be totally fucked.

The schedule must play into it as well, they weren't really doing house shows for a while and even when they did it was lucky if they were hitting 100 dates a year including tv/ppv.

Impeccable 01-23-2014 07:30 AM

Lol <s>TNA</s> MVP

Anybody Thrilla 01-23-2014 12:17 PM

Steve Austin going from WCW to WWF was a then-current midcard star (granted injured) going from one equal to another. MVP going to TNA is a former midcard star going from WWE to obscurity (to North Americans, where WWE 'rasslin is the best) then to a company that is failing.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-23-2014 02:42 PM

This article is now about the American Wolves and should be re-titled TNA signs more rejects. MVP continues to deny signing.

I wouldn't say "obscurity", he's been in Japan. He wrestled in New Japan, which is one of the biggest wrestling companies overseas so it's not like he's been sitting around watching RAW, waiting for a call.

Droford 01-23-2014 02:59 PM

I guess he's not comin...

To TNA

Anybody Thrilla 01-23-2014 03:24 PM

There's JimmyMess, stirring the shit pot again. He's gotta be Curtis.

Curtis 01-23-2014 07:02 PM

I wish WWE would bring back MVP, they really drop the ball with him imo
