Bring Back 5 Workers

Bring 5 Workers back to The WWE who have previously left and are currently still working/able bodied enough to work elsewhere.

1. Shelton Benjamin - Guy slots into the upper MidCard easily an is great in the ring.

2. Jeff Hardy - Guy can't end his career in the Doldrums of TNA, He has seemingly sorted himself out and deserves another run.

3. Bubba Dudley - Has come on Leaps and Bounds during his singles Run in TNA, Mic Work has been great and he's developed a really good character.

4. Charlie Haas - Totally underrated guy, could have been great with a good gimmick. And with WWE seemingly trying to reignite a tag division he would make a great partner for someone. Also uses the Haas Of Pain Which looks amazing as a submission finisher.

5. John Morrison - Who in the fuck did this guy Piss Off? I'm not sure of the whole story but he was getting some great pops before he left. No idea why he hasn't returned yet? Surely its just a matter of time?

whiteyford 02-09-2014 07:59 AM

Think Haas has retired/went a bit mental but can see the other 4 back before long.

Just like he saved TNA, and ROH

whiteyford 02-09-2014 04:22 PM

Cornette's great in as far as he makes a lot of sense in general but outside of booking 101 he's still in the territory days.

Heyman 02-09-2014 04:50 PM

He-Man's 5 Guys

1) CM Punk
2) Daniel Puder
3) John Morrison

That's pretty much it. CM Punk's case is self-explanatory. Daniel Puder from Tough Enough 2004..........now THERE'S a guy that the WWE missed out on big time. If you recall, Puder completely dominated Tough Enough that year, and was also the guy that almost broke Angle's arm with the Kimura lock.

Morrison is still fairly young if I correctly recall.

As far as the others go, given their age and overall 'wear and tear', I'm not sure if I'd bring back guys like Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho.

The WWE needs to be pushing and creating new stars and young/fresh stars. Looking into the past is not the greatest way to go in my opinion.

Look within what they have now:

-Dolph Ziggler
-Santino Marella
-Daniel Bryan (obviously)
-Bray Wyatt
-Roman Reigns
-Dean Ambrose
-Seth Rollins
-Eric Rowan
-Antonio Cesaro
-Jack Swagger
-Heath Slater
-Uso's
-Fandango
-Luke Harper (edit - thanks for the heads up A_T)

These are the guys that the WWE should be pushing beyond belief. Even a guy like Zack Ryder.........WWE should find a way to push this guy. I'm not really Ryder's biggest fan, but kids and the IWC love him and that's all that matters. Once the WWE stops punishing him, they should re-push him.

Although Ryback and The Miz are a little stale, it shouldn't take too much effort on the WWE's part to get them over again. Let Ryback turn face again (fans love chanting 'feed me more'), and make Miz heel again. Miz was a great heel a few years ago.

Anybody Thrilla 02-09-2014 05:01 PM

How do you not have Luke Harper on that list, He-man?

XL 02-09-2014 06:39 PM

1) Kurt Angle
2) Kurt Angle
3) Kurt Angle
4) Kurt Angle
5) Kirk Angel

Honestly, they can't be bothered/don't know what to do with the stack of midcard talent they already have. Bringing in a bunch of guys that they failed with years ago just adds to the pot. I like Shelton, Carlito, Morrison, MVP, Kennedy but I don't see the point in bringing them back. It's a "quick fix" that gives you momentary "buzz" for the guy that came back but almost inevitably that steam runs out quickly and soon they're jobbing to the next guy they want to push for a month, who in turn jobs to someone they want to heat up, who in turn...you get the idea.

Bring back Angle for a year. Put him in the ring with almost anyone on the roster - Ziggler, Bryan, Cesaro, Swagger, Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt, Del Rio, Harper, Reigns, Rhodes, need I continue? Big swan song at Mania 31, into the Hall of Fame.

1. John Morrison

The dude can do things in the ring that are just amazing. Since his work in MNM, the guy has been entertaining and solid pretty much all the time. His character got a bit watered down as a face, but if he returned as a cocky prick or with more of a rock star vibe, then he could connect with people. He'd give the female fans something to drool over. Morrison and Ziggler in a rivalry trying to one-up each other? Yes, please.

2. Kharma

People are probably sick of hearing me ramble on about her, but I seriously think the woman is money. She should come back, win the Divas Title, throw down the belt and declare herself the "Women's Champion." Give her an eternity with the championship and build up someone like Paige to take the title from her. Down the track, you could have her take part in an angle where she wants to be treated equally, and that means getting a chance to compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Kharma has got the size to compete with some of the males in the main event scene. It'd get the WWE a lot of mainstream attention. Give her Paul Heyman as a manager to do all the talking for her. Money.

3. Kurt fucking Angle

He's Kurt fucking Angle. Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle in a match to decide who is The Greatest Wrestler of All-Time, thanks.

4. The Brian Kendrick

I absolutely loved his final character in the WWE, but he was good at the plucky underdog stuff too. When left to his own devices, Kendrick goes off the cooky end a bit, but I'd like to see him get to play a veteran cruiserweight character who uses his wits to outsmart his opponents. Either that or he can play the same crazed rock star guy. You could even bring back Ezekiel Jackson (who is still under contract, technically) to be his enforcer again. He'd just need to keep his head down and be a good employee.

5. Jeff Hardy

This is mainly for the money reasons. The guy was money, as simple as that. A few Swanton Bombs here and there is great for popping the crowd. I'd love to see him as a Paul Heyman Guy, to be honest. #BestforBusiness and all that. Jeff can be all "I don't care about that," but he'd still technically be The Authority (and Heyman's) cash-cow. Cue CM Punk returning because he exiled Hardy from the WWE. I'd love to see Hardy as Corey Graves' main roster debut feud, too. Graves jumping through the crowd and attacking Hardy because he plans on using the guy he watched as a fan to make his star would be a pretty hot was to introduce him.

I do miss Trent Barreta too. That guy is still really young, isn't he? Hopefully he keeps improving and gets another shot down the line.

1) Kurt Angle
He's too great to end his career in TNA, and now would be the time to return and make a big impact when the main event scene is so desperately lacking talent who can both talk and wrestle. Not to mention that matches against CM Punk (if he comes back), Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt and a more well-rounded John Cena and Randy Orton could be really amazing. I also believe that, along with John Cena, Kurt Angle is one of the only guys who could take on "The Streak" and have a reasonable shot at breaking it, not to mention have an incredible match.

2) Christopher Daniels
Daniels worked a few matches for them, so technically this still counts. He's one of the best workers out there today - he can talk and he can wrestle and he's got a great gimmick as the Fallen Angel. He would make a great addition to the upper mid-card.

3) MVP
The guy was really just getting good around the time that he left. His series' against Matt Hardy and Chris Benoit were pretty outstanding. I'd love to see him come back for one more run.

4) The Hardys
Gotta lump them in together. If Matt can pull himself together, I'd like to see the Hardys come back for one more run in the WWE; either as singles wrestlers or as a tag team. Just looking at the current roster, The Hardys vs The Shield, The Brotherhood or even the returned New Age Outlaws could make for some good matches. Plus, the guys sell merchandise, and WWE loves that.

5) Rhino
Not really sure what happened to this guy or where he is today. I don't think he ever got a fair shake in the WWE. They were building him pretty great when he first showed up, but like so many others during the InVasion period, he got lost in the shuffle and ended up jobbing in the Hardcore division after not too long.

Fox 02-09-2014 10:39 PM

Honorable Mention: Kaval / Low Ki
What the hell happened here? One of the hottest new guys on the roster, already getting big pops and a fan following, despite getting his ass kicked and losing matches during and after NXT, and all of a sudden he's just gone. Imagine the matches he could've had against CM Punk or Daniel Bryan or Chris Jericho. A total waste and a total mismanagement of talent.

screech 02-09-2014 10:46 PM

I think Kaval asked for his release.

Heisenberg 02-09-2014 11:03 PM

2. Carlito- yeah I did it, dude is charismatic and can go in the ring

Derrick Bateman is Dixie Carters "nephew", Ethan Carter the 3rd in TNa now. Which is sad, really.

As for my own list:

Kurt Angle - even if he is just on screen, he can only add great stuff.
Kaitlyn's Boobs - Sorry, they're about all I noticed of her anyways.
Bully ray
Shelton Benjamin
