hypothetical, if there were a union
 

back in the early 80's jesse ventura was trying to cultivate the wrestlers to unionize on Vince. With what you guys know about unions and wrestling how do you think things may be different throughout the last 30 years if they had been successful?

There was a Union in the 90s. It didn't work out too well.

There should be a Union of Tantanka fans and this thread should be an official Tatanka thread.

Tatankas native american background, his hair, and his lack of charisma would have prevented him from being invited into the union

Specifically they were the "Union of People You Oughta Respect Shane" aka UPYO(U)RS

There would be fewer opportunities for newer stars because the older stars would invoke their right to not be terminated without just cause.

Would "creative has nothing for you" be just cause under a union contract? It depends on collective bargaining outcomes.

What about performance measures? Who's rewarded for under achievement or not punished for failure to sell merchandise?

The union should be weak enough to not let stagnant wrestlers stay forever but should be strong enough to secure medical benefits. I'd oppose sick pay for wrestlers because then you have "blue flue" like when the cops call in sick during strikes.
