I don't usually say jack shit...

But that was the WORST way to bring Hogan back and hype Wrestlemania 30. Yes I am loaded on a Monday but come on, nothing makes sense.

The last time Hogan came home it was electric, now we get him coming out in jeans to start a random RAW? Wtf?

The only things to honestly KIND OF look forward to are the Wyatts, Shield, and Cesaro. They have already killed Daniel Bryans momentum. If he gets back any sort of "Austin/Rock/Hogan" shine then holy fuck they are lucky.

I honestly chirp guys who challenge what the WWE is doing but holy fuck this is cream cheese... This was the easiest Wrestlemania to book of all time.

I give up.

weather vane 02-25-2014 05:55 AM

How do you fuck up this roster with this many legends at your fingertips?

weather vane 02-25-2014 05:57 AM

It's honestly gross. If one normal person doesnt agree with me they are loco. How can you fuck it up? It booked itself!

#1-norm-fan 02-25-2014 08:23 AM

Maybe you shouldn't chirp when people challenge what WWE is doing!

Afterlife 02-25-2014 08:32 AM

They've been actively fucking themselves up for the duration of 2013. What did you expect for Mania?

I agree with all of your post except for this tidbit.

Bryan is still white hot with the fans. As long as Bryan wins the title at Mania', the WWE will have booked Bryan perfectly.

I like the fact that the WWE aren't simply "bending over" for the Marks or the IWC just because they like a certain guy. The WWE are making storylines as realistic and unpredictable as possible from what I see.

Again though - it all hinges on whether Bryan wins the title at Mania' however..........or atleast main-events. I still see Bryan being inserted somehow.

That's one way of looking at, but another way of looking at it is that they've done a great job of creating some new stars:

For the first time in well over a decade, the WWE actually looks like they have a reasonable new 'core' that could easily replace the old guard.

The fans absolutely love Daniel Bryan, The Shield, The Wyatt's, Cesaro, Swagger, etc., and the WWE are directly responsible for this.

This.

Your "they are perfectly booking bryan" theory is hinged on something they are in no way even building to.

I just dont get how you guys keep getting to "Surely they will put him in the main event and he will win and it will be glorious".

This isnt LOST or True Detective with swerves we never see coming or subtle hints.

It is what it is, and that is exactly what they are putting on TV.

Orton vs Bats...BIG STARS OH MY.

Bryan vs HHH to prove hes a real star. The fact that the guy getting the biggest pops over the last 6 months has to "Earn" his way into a match with HHH who still thinks he is the top star blows my mind.

The WWE is easy to follow and predict and it sticks to its formula.

You could be right, but I still think there's something more at play here.

I refuse to believe that the WWE is THAT naive or stupid...........especially when they've openly teased the idea of Bryan being the man so many times.

Put it this way:

Even if Bryan isn't in the title picture, he'll still go over big time if him/HHH is the last match on the card.........and Bryan wins.

Personally speaking though, I hope Gertner's triple threat idea comes to fruition.

The WWE is in no way responsible for that. The WWE is famous for stifling what the fans say they want, not for nurturing it.

In this interview Regal states pretty clearly Bryan that won't be in the title match:

I'd have agreed until I saw the live crowd take a shit on the Wyatt/Reigns match. Hoping that was just this crowd but I've a fear that we'll see more and more crowds chanting "Randy Savage", etc. during what should be pretty big matches.

Droford 02-25-2014 06:20 PM

I'm convinced that they don't really want to put much effort into WM because they're basically giving it away for free. If they had to sell WM on its own merit for $60, they'd be doing a ton of things different.

weather vane 02-25-2014 07:12 PM

Just honestly the way they brought Hogan in was so bad.

#1-norm-fan 02-25-2014 07:44 PM

I really think the story from SummerSlam was Bryan vs HHH. The problem is he didn't need to get screwed out of the title as much as he has been to build to it. SummerSlam and maybe one more and then a few more months of Bryan just being fucked over outside the title picture would have sufficed.

What they did when they kept having him get screwed out of the title was put forth the idea that THAT was the ultimate goal in mind and now that's where people's standards for this end game lie.

Before all those title matches even the most hardcore Daniel Bryan mark would have been MORE than satisfied with Bryan facing Triple H at WrestleMania (and in all likelihood beating him). If they weren't planning on this ending with Bryan as champion at WrestleMania (and I HIGHLY doubt they were), they fucked up big time. You just don't tease it THAT much without following through.

Regal never denies the possibility that Bryan will be in the title match.

I watched the entire video because I like Regal and it was actually pretty interesting.

At no point though do he state that Bryan won't be in the title match. He dances around the subject.

Before it used to be solely Daniel Bryan/yes chants.. But now it's 50/50 for that and cm punk. I'm not a big Bryan mark, but to me that isn't good. I feel like they see it as "oh he can be forgotten" sort of thing. Granted it is punk, who even heel is massively out popping top faces. I just think the higher ups see that eventually the Bryan mania will wear off. Ziggler, and zack Ryder were both like this with the fans, granted Bryan is 10 times better, but fans do eventually move on.

Curd 02-27-2014 02:20 AM

Bryan beats HHH on a future Raw for a spot in the 3-way WWE Title match.

The Wyatt/Reigns match was put out way too quickly, and it was still a "part of a team vs part of a team" match, that anyone could guess was going to end in interference.
