Is it just me or is JBL becoming progressively terrible on commentary
 

JBL is my favourite wrestler of all time and I enjoy him on commentary for the most part, but lately all he does is shout out points that go nowhere and talk about nonsense. I don't really care if Cole and JBL talk about the match since I can see what's going on, but JBL is just getting bad. Like Booker T bad.

Good ol JR needs to come back and he can argue with JBL about who has the better hat. That would be good to great tv. 8.5/10

I guess I'm alone, but I like him. The team needs a heel announcer. And since Lawler has the heart attack sympathy and Michael Cole as a heel was absolutely awful, I'm glad he's there. He's no Bobby Heenan, but he'll do for now.

He was golden at the ECW ONS 2006 PPV cutting a promo. I've mostly tried to tune out all of commentary if I can. I was a Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan guy

He seems drunk half the time but I find him entertaining. His commentary during Los Matadores matches is amazingly funny.

Sometimes I feel like he's an awesome heel commentator and then he'll go off on some weird tangent and talks about nonsense. A lot of times, it seems the three man commentary team often are all trying to talk over each other, not listening to one another and all making completely separate points. It's like listening to a bunch of dumb kids argue and it's usually pretty awful.

Listening to JBL Cole and Lawler is like watching The View .......not that I watch the View or anything....

Been rumored or dirtsheeted for a while that he's the sole person Vince speaks to on the headsets during shows.


JBL's not completely horrible and still believe he fits better with Cole than Lawler does but do agree that he''s been slowly getting worse overall compared to his past stuff.

If you find "He's a real bull, MACKLE!" and "FEAR THE BULL, MACKLE!" to be comic genius.

I still think he needs to pass a concussion impact test every week on camera before he starts commentary

they need to bring josh back to smackdown and just leave him and jbl on smackdown only and just keep king and cole on raw.

When he starts rattling off bull fighting history and European matadors' names in a deadpan delivery it's pretty good.

I remember sometime toward the beginning of the year there was a Raw that Lawler was sick for and it was just Cole and JBL and I felt like JBL (and Cole) was a lot more tolerable without Lawler. It's like JBL & Cole get mad lame trying to relate to Lawler.

Never been a big fan of him as a wrestler, but I remember thinking he was great on commentary. Then I watched my first Raw in forever and he was pretty terrible. I don't blame him necessarily, but I do blame whoever is feeding him lines.

He just needs to stop yelling all the friggen time. Bobby Heenan was great because he constantly fed those sarcastic one liners like he was having a normal conversation and JBL does that great as well when he actually does it. I enjoy him on Smackdown way more than Raw because he chills out.

Generally when they actually get so sit back and call matches they produce better stuff than they do talking about random angles while ignoring matches altogether. I don't get how that makes for a good experience for anyone. Talk about the angles between matches and through vignettes, let us actually get behind the low-card guys...although you know they even ignore the matches with upper-card guys half the time.

Heyman needs too come back and Announce with JR.

Dunno, the only thing he really did that bothers me is when during the Usos entrance he would yell "O!!" everytime, and then say "COME ON MAGGLE!"

It was like... dude, shut up and let me hear the fans saying "O".

I don't think I pay enough attention to the commentary to even notice/care

Used to enjoy him putting guys over, usually lower/mid card guys and I enjoyed his stuff in his last run with just Cole/Mathews, think a 3 man team just doesn't work with the guys they're using.

Anyways, he still makes a much better heel commentator than Michael Cole.
