I noticed this pic after you asked and assumed.

He was taking time off after the Franklin fight and then TUF China came around. I think they are using the fact that he is Asian (Vietnamese) and his movie star power to help open the doors for UFC in China. I remember reading somewhere he is like an acting ambassador for the UFC in Asia.

This was a really good card. Sucks about Varner, but damn he's tough as nails. Cormier was crazy dominant, but it's kind of hard to tell where he actually stands, as Hendo has clearly slowed down in the past year. Ruthless had Ellenburger running after those first two kicks, awesome performance. Also utterly amazing performance from TJ Dillashaw, still kind of can't believe it.

and anyone saying hendo has "slowed down"... he is a middleweight, fighting a HEAVYWEIGHT. He needs to fight people his size. He weighed 196 for christs sake

Only jones looked good against machida, vitor turned into a roid monster, and cormier who is 10x the wrestler dan is, was also probably 30-40 lbs heavier than dan at fight time
