Comic Book Help

Going to buy a few comic books for my girlfriend' skid. He is 8 and has expressed no interest in it. I just want to see if he will like them but seeing as I have no idea about anything comic book related I wanted to ask for suggestions.

He digs Batman, Transformers, Avenegers, X-Men, ect. Are there any suggestions for a young reader?

The idea is to use them to mix up with his normal, boring, reading material.

For kids, the Marvel Adventures stuff is probably the way to go. That, or the Batman and/or Superman Adventures stories from the 90s which were spinoffs of their old Animated Series. If he's into videogames, Archie Comics has surprisingly awesome comics for Megaman and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Easy stuff from Marvel works well. Just tell him "the guys at Disney made this".

Ultimate X-Men Vol. I

If he likes the movies, the tone of those issues is pretty close to the Singer stuff.

Did the Ultimate X Men and a Captain America one. Thanks a ton guys.
