Smackdown SPOILERS - July 4th

* Seth Rollins kicks off SmackDown but gets attacked by Dean Ambrose. Randy Orton comes out and makes the save until Roman Reigns evens the odds. The Great Khali's music played and Khali came out. He announced he was the new General Manager of Smackdown. He announced his first act was to make these four wrestle in a tag match later tonight.

1 - Big E defeated Cesaro by count out.

2 - Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the United States Title.

* Chris Jericho comes out and cuts a promo, taunting Bray Wyatt. Jericho gets a big pop. The Miz interrupts him and ends up taking a Codebreaker. Jericho leaves to another pop.

3 - AJ Lee defeated Eva Marie. Before the match AJ cut a promo. Paige was on commentary and came into the ring to congratulate AJ before awkwardly leaving.

* Khali did a segment backstage in the GM office where he said he changed his mind and it would be Ambrose vs Orton tonight.

* Damien Sandow comes out as Bruce Springsteen and sings "Born In the USA." Rusev and Lana interrupt. Lana cuts an anti-American 4th of July promo. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter interrupt to a big pop. Zeb jokes on Russia and the crowd is very much into this. There were loud "USA" and "We The People" chants here.

4 - The main event is Randy Orton vs. Dean Ambrose. Seth Rollins interferes and hits Ambrose with his briefcase. Orton and Rollins beat down Ambrose until Roman Reigns makes the save. Reigns hits Orton with a Superman punch to end SmackDown.

Can't tell whether the Great Khaki thing is slik's weekly attempt at humour, or the real deal. Which is pretty bad.

Khali books a tag team match...almost.

Sounds pretty awful TBH. Let's just remember that 12 years ago Friday on the 7/4/2002 SD! Edge & Hogan beat Billy & Chuck to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions.

Sheamus, an Irish guy defends against ADR who isn't even American. Should've given the shot to the Real American American American American Jack Swagger and had him win it, because, ya know...USA.

<font color=goldenrod>Sounds like a phoned in SmackDown as per usual. Boy I'd be pissed if I bought a ticket and only saw 4 matches.

Yeah you get the Superstars or Main Event matches too but a lot of times they feature the same people that show up on SmackDown anyway.</font>
