This might have been discussed already. What if Cena never made it as the company guy - the face of the WWE? Keeping in mind the company's PG friendliness intact, who would get the push and the support Cena currently enjoys? Would it be similar to his run?

BTW, for those who haven't, do listen to Steve Austin's podcast with Cena as a guest. Criticize him all you want, but the guy's story, and his sheer dedication and hard work should earn him respect from anyone who's a 'fan'.

I think you are basing this on a false premises. I don't think WWE goes PG without a homogenized babyface like Cena leading the way.

That being said Orton and Cena came into the WWE around the same time. It probably would have been him just pushed faster than he was.

If Batista didn't have the propensity to let negative reactions get to him, or the propensity to say stupid crap whenever in a public forum, it would have been him.
