More storylines, less to bitch about

Does the TPWW Forum agree that the WWE has done a great job at making more storylines?

Check it out:

We have Randy vs. Cena vs. Roman vs. Kane and the authority as our main plot point.

We have Rollins and Ambrose as our secondary story, with strong ties to the main plot.

We have Wyatt vs Jericho

We have Cesaro vs Kofi somewhere in there

We have Jack Swagger vs Rusev

We have Usos vs Wyatts

We have Dolph Ziggler vs Fandango

We have several Divas storylines

Compared to 3-4 years ago, they are making many improvements. I remember when they would only focus on one thing and let the entire show go to shitl.

Al Snow vs Big Bossman w/ Special Guest Pepper trumps all that shit

That's not really fair, not fair to the kids

but what about the random matches to show a competitive match between 2 athletes?

Ruien 07-13-2014 12:26 AM

Really amazed by what the Divas have going on actually.

I think it helps the main event is cluttered with superstars with many potential match ups. It is a lot better than wrestler A being built up and then challenges wrestler B. 4 wrestlers give difference match ups and matches with a lot more unpredictability. Love it.

Actually it's Cesaro vs big e. Kofi was a way to get Cesaro over and bring in big e as the hero

Yes, they have been doing a better job of things.

Much better than the three-tier'd focus of:

a) the one on one main event of the next PPV, reguardless if a world championship is in the balance

b) the random midcard division they're focusing on at the moment (tag teams OR United States OR Intercontinental) at the expense of the others

and c) the next "new" talent they're pushing out the gate they'll most likely completely forget about in the next couple months.

Honestly, there should be more exposure for more talents, though. Not saying everyone [should be pushed to the moon, but having the same rotation of already exposed talent isn't doing much for future progression. ***I somehow omitted this entire thought***] I mean, excluding WWE Network and anything on YouTube, they're working with, what, 7 hours of TV time a week?

There's times where it seems like WWE has done more for talent when RAW was only 1 hour, and that, the 1hr Superstars, and the once-a-month SNME got more guys over- and half of that TV time featured complete indy jobbers.

Again, they are doing better, but there's still room for improvment.

Think calling these "storylines" is giving them too much credit. They're more like "programmes". There's not much story behind Ziggler vs. Fandango for example.

Really enjoying the product lately. Probably has something to do with the fact I quit reading the interwebs. I think Triple H has improved the product quite a bit in his tenure so far.

I remember about 3-4 years back that Vince wanted to make RAW more of a variety show than an actual wrestling program. I think HHH has stepped up, said a couple of things, and we're getting back to basics... hopefully.
