Biggest Tragedies in Wrestling History

Owen? Maybe

Benoit? Good one

I have to say that the tragedy in Wrestling history is that an all time great in sting spent his final 10 "workable" years in the joke that is TNA.

Could have headlined a wrestlemania a few years ago, instead now hes an old man with bitch tits wearing a t shirt over his gear during matches.

ALSO

I find it funny that Kurt Angle will most likely die before going into the WWE hall of fame, but he is in a joke Hall of Fame like TNAs. Barely 12 years old when it died, and they have hall of famers who achieved their greatest moments elsewhere.

NWA Wildside might as well have a hall of fame.

Those two things make me sad.

Share yours.

Mitsuharu Misawa's death was a tragedy imo.

That baby had it coming.

Benoit has to be number one hands down, and Owen's death a close second.

As for the most tragic for me, Eddie's death takes the cake. I was actually brought to tears when I heard about it on the news. :'(

In terms of things I wish would happen, but won't (since that joke seems to be prevalent here)... I guess I'm upset that we'll never see another WWE Diva in Playboy again. That's pretty tragic.

What happened? Was it a move in the ring or did he collapse? Honestly haven't heard about this till now.

I'm surprised you hadn't heard about this til now.

I still miss Misawa. He, Kobashi & Kawada were the guys that made me huge fans of Puro.

Bison Smith has also since passed away back in 2011 from a heart condition.

from Wikipedia:
On June 13, 2009, Misawa teamed with Go Shiozaki against GHC Tag Team Champions Akitoshi Saito and Bison Smith at Hiroshima Green Arena in a title match. After taking a belly to back suplex from Saito, Misawa lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead in the hospital at 10:10 p.m. JST. The cause of death was later speculated in the official police report to have been a cervical spinal cord injury that caused cardiac arrest; however, Misawa's family invoked a Japanese law that requested the police not publicly release the official cause of death.

Won't stop you posting how he died and a video of his death though.

Damn, must be pretty awful for the guys involved.

Gonna go outside the box a little and say Magnum TA's injury. Dude was set up to be HUGE. Could have been Hulk Hogan of NWA easily.

More recent Dolph's concussion last year and Bryan's neck this year causing short Title Runs for guys who really worked hard to get that spot.

What the fuck

Why would you post the video.

You are watching a man die. And someone try to pump him back to life.

This shit has no place on the internet and much less here.

Ultimate Warrior's death should be up there...

Curtis 07-30-2014 02:53 PM

Those are all good options.
But I would say the biggest tragedy was when OCW's chairman was grounded for not doing his math homework and was unable to compete in an ERAG match in his grandmothers flower garden.
