WWE Star Sheamus is rumored to be playing Darth Vader in the Star Wars sequel currently being filmed by JJ Abrams according to the following article:

Probably could go ahead and merge this with the biggest tragedies in wrestling history thread if true.

Shadrick 07-30-2014 02:19 PM

OY, I AM YOUR FATHER, FELLA.

el bobbo 07-30-2014 02:26 PM

Didn't Darth Vader die? How the fuck are they going to bring him back?

Nowhere Man 07-30-2014 02:36 PM

Flashbacks, probably

Big Vic 07-30-2014 02:36 PM

are they going to edit him into the end of "Return of the Jedi" now?

drave 07-30-2014 02:48 PM

No, but someone needs to photoshop that shit for pure comedic value.

Nowhere Man 07-30-2014 02:48 PM

In all fairness, it's not like he'd have to do any real acting. The suit would cover him completely, and James Earl Jones would be reading all the lines (it fucking better be James Earl Jones), so all he'd really have to do is stand there and be tall, and maybe swing a lightsaber around.

Plus, there's a pretty strong chance that the whole thing is unfounded bullshit anyway, so y'know, grain of salt and all that.

I hope they do it irl and they have spinner title spinning a bit.

Heisenberg 07-30-2014 02:50 PM

A super agile red headed Darth Vader kicking someone in the face and/or arse is fine with me fella. Motherfucker could use some time off TV anyways.

Nowhere Man 07-30-2014 02:51 PM

Y'know what would be kind of amazing?

If WWE tried to capitalize on this by having Vader come out of retirement to fight Sheamus over the name.

IT'S VADER TIME, FELLA!

This would be terrible PR for the franchise if true. Why would they go with someone completely new in this field for the role even if he won't be talking or be visible? Since when is a Star Wars movie on a limited budget? I can already see hollywood shitting on the movie for having "pro wrestlers and sports entertainment" in here not to mention "drugs and steroids" allegations.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-30-2014 03:04 PM

This is why Ryan "Scum" Clark is a piece of shit. Obviously this is a joke but he still reports it because it's a "rumor." Might as well be from the Onion.

Journalists don't report on rumors. They report on things that happen. Thought this was going to be about the Rock.

Corporate CockSnogger 07-30-2014 03:23 PM

SlickyTrickyDamon, are you going to suggest Ryan Clark is a bad father again because of his wrestling reports?

All about generating $$$$$$

Haters gon hate.

No drave, he glorifies and hyperbolises articles about wrestlers in order to get extra hits on his website so he is quite obviously a despicable human being and a terrible father.

I am surprised you remembered that thread after 10 years to be honest. Well worth the read!

Oh, I see.

Ryan Clark 4 prez.

Sepholio 07-30-2014 05:17 PM

Yea no prob with this. Anyone can wear the Vader suit; it's all about who voices him and it better be James Earl Jones. Or at least some imitator that sounds exactly like him.

He's no Dave Meltzer that's for sure...

Somewhat interested in the idea of seeing Darth Vader brogue kick someone during the film.

drave 07-30-2014 06:27 PM

Haha! Fuck yeah that would be great.

Purgatory 07-30-2014 09:12 PM

He'd force choke a fella, for sure.

Ermaximus 07-30-2014 09:15 PM

If that is true, then let's go ahead and have Cole play Wedge Antilles and R-Truth can be Mace Windu.

Purgatory 07-30-2014 09:33 PM

Found this pic, used the Color Dodge tool to lighten the skin and add some specular highlights. I couldn't find his face pic and a Darth Vader pic that I could splice and have it look cool.

I considered adding "LaOch" somewhere.

drave 07-30-2014 09:39 PM

That is awesome, lol!!!

Frank Drebin 07-30-2014 09:44 PM

Kevin Nash or gtfo

drave 07-30-2014 09:47 PM

Really wanna hear Vader incorporate the use of "arse" in his normal vocabulary.

Vastardikai 07-30-2014 09:48 PM

I wonder if the folks complaining actually know the name of the guy who was in the suit for the Original Trilogy

VSG 07-30-2014 09:52 PM

It was a bodybuilder at a time when it was hip. Today wrestling is laughed at in Hollywood, remember Mickey Rourke declining a WM match because it could have jeopardized his chance at the Oscars?

Purgatory 07-30-2014 09:59 PM

Someone should try a voice synthesizer and an Irish accent to see how it sounds. I dont have a Mic:(....Maybe I can record the accent using my phones voice recorder then upload it that way...ill try it tomorrow

Droford 07-30-2014 10:06 PM

I thought it was going to be Cena's big Hollywood break.

Hanso Amore 07-30-2014 11:57 PM

I've seen it on other sites it's probably a stand in or physical only thing

That said stfu std you fat pig man

simplythevest 07-31-2014 12:50 AM

Yeah, because Star Wars is such classy high art. A pro wrestler essentially doing stunt work would be a disaster.
