I know Dbry wasn't exactly a main eventer at the time...at least in WWE but he was involved in a main event angle.

Can't recall but from Jericho's second book, it sounded like they're were thinking of firing him during his IC Champ reign.

Warrior is the highest I can think of. Slaughter was pretty high on the food chain when he got canned in 84.

Angle was fired, he claimed an early release to try and save face, but he was definitely fired.

Slaughter was definitely fired as well, for no showing a date, trying to cut his own deal for G.I. Joe, and trying to start a union.

I think they wanted Angle to take some time off to heal, but instead he asked for his release because he didn't want to stop rassling to rest.

They wanted Angle to go to rehab, he said no, they were afraid he was going to die on their watch, and they fired him. History has been very kind to the story of Angle's release, but despite his best efforts to frame it as mutual or as his idea, that wasn't the case at all.
