Chairs and Blading...

I'm watching the Eddie/Bradshaw match, and seeing how badly Eddie bladed, so the chair shot looks devistating... What I dont understand (From a reality standpoint in that it is supposed to be "real"), is that how are you supposed to be cut from a solid object, which, most likley, doesnt have sharp corners? I could undertand brusing and welting, but bleeding? (Aside from the fact that it's the only thing they really have time for...)

Those chairs do have edges though :-\

Ever been hit in the head with a baseball? I have, its a blunt object, but I tell you, I bled like hell.

Savio 05-18-2004 05:05 PM

....or trip and fall on the floor.

Xero 05-18-2004 05:08 PM

Hmm, I never thought of that... I know it's a stupid question, but HOW would it cut you? Seperate the skin at impact?

Team Sheep 05-18-2004 06:26 PM

I was thinking exactly the same thing on my drive home today. It just doesn't make sense, it's not sharp, chairs are smooth objects. But hey, I guess everything doesn't have to be 100% realistic.

It could hit in between a bone, so that your bones are actually cutting you open. Or it could just hit you with enough force to tear the skin. The baseball was a perfect example, trust me I've been there, it tears you open.

Well the thing is that blunt-force impact doesn't cut skin, it tears it open. I remember seeing a video someplace where a really stiff worker in Japan bloodied someone up real bad with a bunch of Flair-esque chops.

Anyone recall when zach gowan kicked the chair into mcmahons head and the blood pissed out of him? First thing that came to mind when i seen how the blood was squirting out of eddie.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-20-2004 02:58 AM

Think about boxing. Boxers bleed.

check that out.. answer's alot of questions..

With enough impact, skin will rip and you will bleed. Blunt object or not.

Grab a chair and have someone smack you hard and you WILL bust open.

hey, i have my wrestling team thing (private wrestling) and ive been hit by a chair and ive bled a million times, ive been hit with guitars, bashed threw windows, ddt'ed threw glass tables but nothing compares the impact from a chair....

Dirtyunderweartaker 07-02-2004 09:03 PM

WTF IS BLADING

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YYYYYEES

Cactus Sid 07-03-2004 07:07 AM

2 things from this thread

When the blood pissed out of Vince, he hit the CORNER of the chair, hence why the cut was so deep.

Also, with the Mass Transit incident, that was nothing to do with the chair from the top, that was caused because New Jack stuck a knife in his head (not in as gruesome way as that would be played out in movies)

when u fall off a high cliff or somthin u land in a puddle of ur own blood even if u land on something smooth. U can bleed at just about any oppurtunity

Please don't type like that.

In gym class we had to run the halls. My friend accidently slammed a door on my head. I instantly bled, and that lasted for a long time.
