His gimmick would be ever-so-slightly less fucking horrible if it came out in February 2013 instead of yearsbehind.com and looking utterly cringeworthy

I liked his debut, but man did it ever get tiresome fast.

It works on NXT, but everything does pretty much, it also got pretty much abandoned in terms of creative after about 4 weeks.

Been saying Adam Rose had a short shelf life since day one.

Crowd involvement singing a song didn't last that long for Fandango either. At least that isn't all of Fandango's gimmick though. It is the entirety of Adam Rose's gimmick.

@STD: I agree, these kinds of fads are fun for a brief time but they have no substance or sustainability.

In fairness though, I lumped DBry's "Yes!" thing in the same category and its had a bit more staying power.

That being said, if Tyler Breeze fails I will cry.

He has a fun gimmick and he's comfortable enough in it to pull it off without looking unnatural and awkward.

Should have kept the Leo Krugger character but the Adam Rose character would be better if they didn't just keep having him just be there for no real reason.

The Rose-Zeb/Swagger feud had some potential but got quickly dropped.

Exactly. It's not the gimmick or the guy behind the gimmick that sucks. It's the fact that they've done nothing with him. Any character gets boring quickly when they're not involved in anything remotely interesting.

I liked that one match he had as Leo Kruger where he essentially just got beat up by Cesaro for 15 minutes.

Agree should have stayed Leo Kruger then people could take him serious. He is a good in ring performer but the gimmick is just dumb.

he's pretty "bleh" in the ring. i've always thought so. i don't hate the adam rose gimmick, but creative isn't actually trying to get it over. so, couple in ring work i don't care for and a gimmick that's floundering (whether or not it's his fault), and i'm not interested.

Adam Rose is basically the "B Sharps": hilarious the first time but gets progessivly less funny each time you see him.

Hope someone gets that reference.

I think even Jeff Jarrett "hits the ropes harder" than he does.

Like I said in another thread, the only feud for him that looks compelling at this point is if he feuded with the rabbit. I don't mean the guy in the rabbit suit. I mean the actual rabbit.

From there, maybe have KENTA come out and murder the rosebuds.

And from there, send him back to NXT. Call up Tyler Breeze, sit back, and count all the money that pours in.

Adam Rose has some potential, at least on the comedy team. I just want to see WWE do something with him. Have him feud with Sandow, or any other lower card Lemon.

I was on board with the character until it became one-dimensional on the main roster. The same thing happened with Emma. The minds behind the main show don't get what makes these NXT characters click. At the rate they are going, Tyler Breeze will come up a gimmick where he runs in each match because he doesn't want to risk injury and losing his modelling contract.

Adam Rose hasn't had a feud since he's been on the main shows. He's been a guy who comes out, says his catchphrase, and adds a silly hat occasionally. Let him talk and let him show off eccentricity. Play up the fact that he is undefeated and is clearly a genius who is putting his opponents off. Speculate on just how good the guy is and just why he has chosen to act so aloof.

I think they may have freaked out about losing Santino and just made him the new king of the comedy faces who only does comedy matches and segments but doesn't actually participate in storylines. Which would be fine. Except he's no Santino. Santino was a fucking amazing performer who had legs because he was able to transcend the character and pull off comedy outside of his goofy Italian stereotype schtick. Rose is good at pulling off the gimmick... but I don't think he has the skills to transcend the gimmick once it gets stale and just be entertaining without relying on it.

The thing with Santino that made him great is he was unintentionally funny. That's what Rose is missing in that role.

He's got a good look and his theme is awesome, and the Kojak-esque red lollipop always makes me smile, but I feel like maybe he should be sent back to developmental. His gimmick is alright but it just kind of only works because hey, everybody parties...
