randy johnson has just pitched a perfect game

diamonbacks 2-0 braves. no hits, walks, errors. 27 up, 27 down. pretty amazing. only been done around 20 times ever.

Boomer 05-18-2004 10:58 PM

**** this man. I'm sick of being a Braves fan. Don't you think we've been through enough dissapointment?

Boomer 05-18-2004 10:59 PM

I have just watched the Braves get their asses handed two them twice in a row. Why do I even watch them anymore.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-18-2004 11:01 PM

People said he was done. LIES

YOUR Hero 05-18-2004 11:06 PM

His back is often wonky, but he's still f'in awesome.

Loose Cannon 05-18-2004 11:06 PM

Nice. Sh**, I could of watched the game, but I never watch the Braves.

Loose Cannon 05-18-2004 11:11 PM

Cy Young

Loose Cannon 05-18-2004 11:46 PM

That's one. Did you see it on the TV?

BCWWF 05-18-2004 11:50 PM

Jack Morris :shifty:

Supreme Olajuwon 05-18-2004 11:55 PM

Walter Johnson

Loose Cannon 05-18-2004 11:56 PM

WRONG. Hard to believe though.

One of them should be easy to get. You had to have heard about it.

Evil Vito 05-18-2004 11:57 PM

Don Larsen?

Loose Cannon 05-18-2004 11:58 PM

Correct. Only Perfect Game in the World Series. Two more left.

The Outlaw 05-18-2004 11:58 PM

Yeah like I said, we have a weak ass lineup.

Still good stuff though. Crowd even gave him a standing O.

I think the Braves have to have the nicest crowds I've ever seen. But I dunno if I'd rather have the Yanks crowd or ours.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-18-2004 11:59 PM

oh yeah that Addy Jost guy

I think I butchered the spelling but I remember it sounding like that

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-19-2004 12:01 AM

Wow, I can't believe you got that. Addie Joss. Nobody ever knows him. Nice. Joss pitched a perfect game in 1908 against Big Ed Walsh (Another Hall of Famer) in what some say was the greatest game ever pitched. Walsh gave up four hits and just one run.

One more left and he's the hardest as even I didn't know who he was.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-19-2004 12:15 AM

Jason Schmidt pitched a 1 hit shutout tonight

and no one cares lol

The Outlaw 05-19-2004 12:22 AM

Robertson

Bad Guy 05-19-2004 12:23 AM

wow. just wow.

Loose Cannon 05-19-2004 12:23 AM

To Outlaw: Yeah, you got it. Love it how the guy gets a Perfect Game and only had 49 wins his whole career.

The Outlaw 05-19-2004 12:28 AM

I have no idea who he is actually :$

I looked it up ;)

Loose Cannon 05-19-2004 12:30 AM

Yeah I knew that. There was no way anybody on this board was getting that without looking it up.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-19-2004 01:20 AM

he did it against Ty Cobb's Tigers too

Thats pretty impressive

Loose Cannon 05-19-2004 01:27 AM

Yeah, but that was '22 and the Tigers weren't that great at that time. Cobb still hit .400 though. And it's funny to look at that 22 Sox team and see what a difference losing all those guys in 1920 made.

Azriel 05-22-2004 05:12 PM

That's great for The Big Unit.

By the way, LC I am very impressed with your knowledge of baseball.

Oh, btw, not to rub it in, but since we're talking about perfect games, I was there for the David Wells perfect game.
