At what point does Miz transition from wrestler to announcer?
[/thread]
It feels like the only logical progression for him...or am I alone on this? |
He was pretty bad on Main Event. He was face at the time, though, and he's awful as a face in general.
Only when the world is ready for a Miz / Riley reunion.
I miss Alex Riley and Josh Matthews doing Main Event
If his commentary is as boring and phony as his interviews on documentaries, hopefully never.
When they fire him and he has to go to Tits and Ass Wrestling Shitpact.

I've never liked The Miz in any way. He should just vanish

That is assuming they still have a show. |

When does he stop being polite and start getting real?
As in stop pretending do be a wrestler |
As I said in that other Miz thread, I would really like to see him as a tradtional heel manager in his current Hollywood Miz gimmick.
As much as everyone gushing over Mizdow (myself included), Miz is actually doing some of the best work he's ever done, including Awesome Truth. Problem is, this is a couple years later than the whole "Must-See WWE Champion" and the downward spiral into apathy that followed. Unless WWE can seriously focus on rebuilding Miz to make him seem a credible and consistent championship threat in the ring, they should just transition him to ringside. Kinda reminds me of some old Cornette. He should just throw iced coffee in opponents eyes instead of a tennis racket to the dome. |
After foolishly facing Lesnar in a match where Lesnar F5's him so hard he bounces out of the ring and into the announcer's table. From there Miz gets an epiphany and realizes his future is in announcing.
Or maybe 2-3 years from now since he'd be in his late 30s by then and still has some value to the WWE. |

The Miz ain't so bad.
The Miz is pretty solid, and technically a good personality, but he just doesn't make anything urgent. Not since 2010/2011. Once he's done making Damien Sandow into a star, I'd like to see him feud with clearly a "nobody" in Sami Zayn, and then maybe think about becoming more of that traditional heel manager that can bump and make the babyfaces look grand.
How do you mean he doesn't make anything urgent?
Like, when was the last time he was in a hot program that made you go "Yes, I must put down money to see that!"?
The stuff with R-Truth is the last time I can remember being genuinely interested in the guy. That being said, he is playing his current role pretty perfectly. It's just not hitting home-runs.

It's all Mizdow right now too. So, now doesn't count either. |
Miz, Cole, JBL that announce team would be biblical.

I've never found him interesting period. Don't like him at all
The Miz is a one note character, no matter how they tweak it. He also has the problem of being overshadowed by whoever he is paired with, Dirt Sheet era Morrison, Sandow, Truth. Alex Riley might be the exception, but then again he is Alex Riley.
Not even counting ShowMiz since that was a direct expy of JeriShow.

He did not get a huge pop. If he did he wouldn't be a analyst for PPV's. Idiot.

This is not a pop lol. You know nothing about the WWE
If there's one thing i know it's wrestling. I don't question your knowledge of being a fucking piece of shit. That's the one thing you know.
Ok you know alittle about wrestling I know more.
That was a pretty decent segment, but that pop really wasn't anything to write home about.
On fairness, that was the most over Riley ever was. That was down to people wanting to see Miz get his ass kicked. Nobody cared about Riley outside of that feud.
Then Riley got that really kick ass theme song, so people were feeling him for 43 seconds until he started wrestling, and they were like 'naahhhhhhhhhhhh'.
Riley was over for a good time afterwards. It's just a shame that things didn't work out. A lot of that was Riley, but a lot of that was creative not really having anything for him once CM Punk usurped "hottest act" in the summer of 2011.

Riley had a chance to become US Champion against Dolph but the feud died quickly. |
