Building towards a wrestlemania slobber knocker between the 2 might the best bet. Start building tension now, have them face off in the royal rumble, with one eliminating the other, keep building tension past the February ppv without an actual match, then allow Ryback to nab his first singles title and defeat the evil Rusev at Mania.
