Any opinion on Josh Mathews joining the announcing team in TNA?

I like it. It adds a fresh feel to things instead of reminding people of a company that died a decade and a half ago.

I'm a big Josh Matthews fan. Good for him doing stuff!

Would rather Mike Tenay stayed and Tazz was the one who got replaced.

I am a fan of Josh, though.

I still won't be watching, but good for him.

TNA? I thought they took that off the market when all those hillbillies went blind.

I like Josh Mathews and his nerdy persona and he is a decent announcer . However, I don't have an opinion on this because I don't watch TNA. I will start watching if someone gave me a good legit reason but haven't seen Impact! in years...

He is. Just won't be the lead commentator for shows anymore.

yeah is'nt tenay doing a hilight show best of what hapened that week he is good at that. i want to see if josh can handle being the main man always liked him. an taz needs to heel it up.

Sounds biblical. Will spice up things in TNA. Josh bringing tons of experience with his WWE backround. Might bring TNA back on top.

Are you kidding me Crippla? Remember TNA and WWE going head-to-head every week constantly week after week trying to get the upper hand on one another. Us as not only TNA fans, but WWE fans in general should be happy with this decision.

I love Josh Mathews. He and Matt Striker were such a great commentary team, and the company knew it too. Striker shot himself in the foot, but Mathews had a place. He should really have been kept on SmackDown and possibly even become lead announcer once Michael Cole became more of a "character." Tom Phillips is OK, but is just no Josh Mathews.

Josh Mathews and Christian should be the SmackDown commentary team right now. :y:

Also, Matt Striker should have been the announcer they turned heel to feud with Jerry Lawler heading into whatever WrestleMania that was.

Jerry Lawler should be taken off RAW. He's a legend and does what the WWE wants him to do, but I think he'd be far better used as a manager or doing special interview segments. He could add some credence to Superstars. Him constantly ripping on Tom Phillips could be fun for that show.

Renee Young could be moved up to RAW.

The true power team was Striker and Grisham. They won the 2008 Slammy for Announce Team of the year. They replaced Grisham with Matthews when the Striker/Grisham due was getting more over than the other teams to cool them off.

Josh isn't that good.

Shit, I thought that was Mathews/Striker that won the Slammy. My bad actually. Grisham/Striker should have been the duo then. I do like Mathews though.

The Slammys were works that year too, from memory. Clearly the company knew what they had on their hands. It sucks that they got split up.

I'm really excited about Jim Ross and Matt Striker calling WrestleKingdom together. They are a dream team of mine. Striker is savvy enough to play off JR's style and be quite grating as the more heelish announcer with an in-ring background that just irks JR.

Take the word "wrestling" out of that pic and it looks like it could be the cover of a Christian folk/pop CD put out by an independent record label.

Remember when Michael Cole called him a f-----t. Good times.
