SmackDown SPOILERS - 1.23.15 - Sponsored by HEISENBERG

* Daniel Bryan kicks off the show and introduces Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan. They're interrupted by Corporate Kane - It's announced that the three Superstars can get into the Royal Rumble match if they win their matches tonight - Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett, Ryback vs. Rusev and Rowan vs. Luke Harper.

1 - Ziggler defeated Barrett in a non-title match with the Zig Zag.

* Renee Young interviewed Roman Reigns about the Royal Rumble match. Reigns said he had CENA NUFF of The Big Show.

2 - Ryback defeated Rusev by count out. After the match, Rusev attacked and beat on Ryback but Ryback turned it around. Rusev avoided a Shellshocked attempt and retreated to the back.

3 - Brie Bella defeated Naomi in a short match.

4 - Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan after a missed top rope splash. Rowan does not qualify for the Royal Rumble.

* Backstage segment with The Miz and Damien Sandow, who are announced for the Rumble. There's dissension between the two. Miz talks down at Sandow for the X-Pac segment on RAW. The Miz had CENA NUFF.

* Owen White comes out for another addition of the White House. His guest this week is a pineapple. White cuts a promo on the pineapple after it refuses to answer his questions. The segment ends when Owen White gives the Pineapple a snap mare take-down. The Pineapple had to be helped to the back after the interview.

5 - Kane vs. Daniel Bryan in a No DQ match is up next. Kane ended up tapping out but the referee didn't call it for some reason. Mercury and Noble interfere. Bryan cleans house but kicks out of a chokeslam. Bryan comes back and gets the win, keeping his spot in the Royal Rumble. Big Show comes out and attacks Bryan. This leads to a huge brawl with the entire locker room coming out. The Superstars left standing after that brawl were Ziggler, Reigns, Bryan, Ryback, Big Show, Kane and Dean Ambrose. SmackDown ends with just the babyfaces standing tall.

Ha ha... burying Eric Rowan continues....

Also, no Ascension.... wanted to see them RIP AND SHRED some jobbers

Why did they give Barrett the IC title if he was just going to lose every match?

That's how they roll. It's easy to make opponents for the champion by having him lose non-title matches.

Ziggler never should have lost the belt, that's why

Bad News should have never lost it either. Thanks Swagger.

They came out during the brawl.

Can't add much other than Renee Young, Lana, Nattie, Bellas, Naomi, Rosa and Paige, along with some of the female rosebuds made me very happy in the pants region.

I yelled at Paige during Main Event during the Tyson Kidd match and told her that I loved her.

Owen White is over with the crowd

Definitely going to watch SD! cause it was a good all around show to hype the Rumble

Creative needs to be reminded weekly by a shinny thing of who has to lose when it comes to the midcard titles. US title got lucky with its recent champs being people the WWE actually cares about.

I kind of want to see Cena win the Intercontinental Title just to see whether the unstoppable force of IC CHAMPION = LOSE can overcome the immovable object of Cena's win percentage.

Because WWE thinks that guys losing constantly and looking weak once they win a title somehow does something positive.

Technically Barrett had to have help from Kane to get the title. He did not win it clean by any means. So, it's not like Barrett was on a roll or even deserving of the IC title.

Ziggler took a shot @ Punk during his promo. Seems to have practiced his mic skills as he is usually known for being kind of paper scripty, totally promo'ed with passion last night

Yeah, amazing how everybody forgets that. Besides, there's every possibility Ziggler could get it back to defend for a long run just to see if he'd ever be a viable world champ again.
