Would anyone be up for a Curtis Axel comedy angle where he just can't get over never making it to the ring?

Like he gets a T-shirt with his number on it, like, Forever No.6 and all that. He attacks Reigns on every show trying to get him over the top rope before running off, and in his matches, has a fear of going over the rope. He goes up to Cena backstage and just says, "you're right, I WILL never give up!"

He is not doing anything and it might give him a bit of personality, think it could be funny too, maybe he finally gets redemption winning a preshow battle royal at Mania

I dunno, I could see it being kinda funny etc for a couple weeks, but outside of "Rumble season" it will probably lose its novelty fairly quick.

Yeah, maybe not, part of me just wants them to address him never getting in. The best approach would have been to send someone out as a new number 30 last night

I think it would be a good way to kickstart an angle with him or a feud with someone... give him something to, I like the idea. Then they could expand upon it once they get people noticing him

I'd go for this. I've always liked the idea of somebody billing themselves as the "Number 2 Contender", he could do that.

No I'm waiting on him to start a tag team with Cody Rhodes called the Perfect Dream.

If only Curtis had charisma, this could work.

I would actually mark the fucking fuck out of Axel tosses Reigns out and claims to be the #1 Contender for the WWE World Title at WrestleMania. Brock and Axel are friends, so Brock would probably have no problem working that match.

If I never get tired of watching the Coyote botch his attempts to capture the Roadrunner, then I could fall in love with something like this as long as they remain creative and random with it.

the concept no but, Reigns does need as many opponents not named the big show in between now and mania to get over. i'd go for a one off of hey I never got my shot in the rr so you need to go through me to get to brock match.


Use the axel was a heyman guy to build a little nuance in it to lay more foundation of a swerve if they go with heyman and reigns screw lesnar at mania

Anyway, while I don't think they should go the comedy route with him (that was part of the reason why he isn't legit right now- he was made to be a dumbass lackey and whipping boy instead of really building him as a force to be at least concerned about in Lesnar's absence) I do like him having a legit gripe about the Rumble. Let that be the thing that makes his career "click" where he ruthlessly takes his opportunities at the expense of others.

Alex Riley is super pissed off on twitter he didnt get in the rumble either.
