First Live WrestleMania
We're on the road to WrestleMania! Oh and WrestleMania being numbered is dead now. So, these are the only numbered WrestleManias until Vince changes his mind again.
What was the first WrestleMania you remember watching live on television? |
I voted incorrectly on this. I didn't read it.
I DIDN'T READ IT!!!!!! |
Wrestlemania XX was the first one I watched live. If I'm not mistaken, that was the first one that was given away for free on Sky Sports...? Because up until that point I had never paid for a PPV, but I remember staying up and watching that one live.

Wooooo rasslemania woooooo friends dad having a descrambler!
for the record the first one I watched on TV was IX
VII
Ten was the first one I saw on PPV. Seven was the first I saw "live to tape." My dad's friend recorded it for me.
12th one was the first one I saw live on ppv, but my mom used to tape them for me as a kid, and mail them that week so I got to see them by Tuesday

if your answer isn't mania 3, you are a total loser
Or were four when it happened
Granted, I am a total loser, so maybe I'm not the best example.
1982 unite. If you are a total loser it's not because you didn't go to a closed circuit TV station when you were three years old.
there are no valid excuses loopydate. if you were 4 you could walk. be a fan!
2000 on Sky Sports 1 because I didn't get the sports channels 'til I was like 15/16 :(

WrestleMania XV. I didn't start watching wrestling until mid 1998 or so. But my grandfather had a descrambler so I saw basically every WWF and WCW PPV live from like 1998-mid 2001. Fittingly KOTR 2001 when the Invasion angle started in full swing was when the box finally crapped out and brought an end to my streak.

17. For some reason ppv channels were free that day and everyone I knew that liked wrestling went crazy over getting to see it.
IX
Although the first ppv i ever saw live was Halloween havoc 89 |
Wrestlemania XVI.
Before that usually ended up watching Mania later online or when the DVD was released. |
You kids need to get off my lawn with your sagging pants

13 is the first I remember watching live.
Definitely saw a few before that (5 and 6 for sure) but whether it was live or on a VHS I cannot remember... |
I could have swear I watched 8 live, though I might have been watching it scrambled. I know for sure I saw 9 live though.
RP you damn dirty liar!
XV. It was the first one shown on PPV here. I haven't missed one since.
XVIII we went out to my brothers house and watched it. Before that we watched a few on tape but mostly watched WCW when I was young.
16 was the first one I saw live, however I've seen them like a day or to later from 6 on.
There was no wm16
I tried to get all of the numbers right but gave up when they got cute without using numerals in the first of the 20s.
True, WrestleMania 2000 is the 16th WrestleMania. |
13 was the first one I actually watched live, but I had seen all of the other ones through VHS tapes from Blockbuster. My grandpa would take me to Blockbuster every Friday, and I would just get whatever wrestling tapes I hadn't seen yet. If there weren't any new ones out, sometimes I'd just re-watch the ones that I really liked.
3,someone dad worked with got it on PPV. And invited everyone over. After that until 16 I saw them a day or so after. Usually someone I went to school with would record them for me.First and only one I went to was 17.

x8 for me. Watched it at friend's apartment. Said he did it for my birthday present. And yes, the date of the show, March 17, 2002 was indeed my exact birthday. 21st to be exact. Seems like maybe I had some kind of alcohol possibly that night but can't remember for sure.
I've seen IX on VHS due to same friend finding a copy in a dumpster at his work and currently own DVDs of III, XIV, 21, 23 and 30 and have previously owned XX and 22 as well. |
