He's getting jobbed out at WM but I hope he sticks around. He's good in the ring and good on the mic.

Lana is great as well. Her Russian-Tennessee accent earlier in 2015 was hysterical.

I didn't like him at first but now I'm pretty sure he can transcend his gimmick in a positive way ie not being reduced to a comedic jobber.
but then Santino started out on a strong note too.

I'm fully behind Rusev. He has been established as a great heel who has had quite a few very entertaining matches and feuds. I think there could have been more mileage behind the Swagger/Rusev feud, people were eating that poop from a piss soaked plate of piss.

I can only hope he goes over at Mania and really "cements himself" as a credible threat to the world title scenario. What I mean by that is when/if he goes over, what more is there for him to do at that level? He should move on to the "big picture" and begin feuding with the "big dogs".

Seriously, he seems more of a legit threat to Lesnar than Reigns.

Would love to see Angle come back for his swan song and have a good feud with Rusev and put him over... but I think Angle works way better as a heel so it would be tricky... whatever, fan fiction

I really feel like that feud was just another example of how inflexible WWE is. Because Jack Swagger was only turned to be fodder for Rusev. But a funny thing happened: He got over as a face. Instead of rolling with that and using the feud to elevate both men (setting up some good things for Swagger's future as well as for Rusev), nope. Rusev wins, lol! Fuck you for caring about this loser, we sure didn't!

I feel like Swagger should have been the one to end the "Undefeated" Streak on his way to an Intercontinental Title run. Rusev is a dominating enough force as a heel that he could have taken the loss without much damage to him. Then I'd have him go over Cena at Mania to set up a proper feud with Reigns, where he shocks the world by beating him, with some chicanery (maybe the debut of a "Russian Sympathizer").

Swagger has a solid Intercontinental Title run, trading the belt once with Harper, then feuding with Barrett before finally losing the belt to him. Rusev comes out with Lana and his Sympathizer, and they boast about how no one can stop the Rusev crush. "We The People" blasts over the PA system, and you have a license to print money.

We gotta get this guy interviewed outside of the Universe, ask him about his secrets a.k.a. how he landed Lana. Did she tap out? Is she in danger? We may never know until 10 years later

Fail to see how they correlate unless you are going with the fans shitting on the main event so they have Cena win to recoup or something.

Losing at Mania even though Cena doesn't need that rub and could have been huge for someone else.

Could see him becoming the next Henry/Big Show in the sense he becomes the reliable "beast" star whenever needed and still looks threatening every time.

WWE could be real stupid and have Rusev lose at Mania and Wyatt lose at Mania.

Would love to see Rusev to go over Cena at WM and continue to successfully defend the US title upper mid card guys like Ambrose, Bryan,and Wyatt. By then he could be red hot at Summerslam and face the WWE WHC to unify the titles.

Not sure Rusev is losing at Mania. Especially if you have Sting and Reigns both winning. I think Cena is more about helping others out now too.

I feel the only way Cena goes over is if its an I quit match.

at this point is he the only guy with actual heal heat? was thinking last night as they tried to feed rollins to reigns hoping that would get him over that WWe has no guy right now with instant heel heat other than maybe russev. he's the only one the crowd will boo for , the other heels are dead pops or half cheered.

On the Hassan thing, the same thing could happen to Rusev if Putin is blamed for that one guy getting killed. He was against Putin and it couldn't come at a worse time for Rusev

Rusev made me a fan at Fast Lane. I hope I do not lose interest. Him losing to Cena at WrestleMania would not be "jobbing out." The feud with Swagger should have been used to make Swagger a bigger deal. Even if Swagger only ended up getting the rub at the Royal Rumble or something. Zeb Colter has not yet had his revenge.

They just purchased a house together in Tennessee, in the middle of the U.S. so it'd be easier for them to travel home from anywhere

Didn't like Rusev at first. Particularly his finisher. Always thought the camel clutch was a lame finisher.

But Rusev has grown on me, and no I'm a big fan.

It seems, via the front page, Lana may be taking some time off to film a WWE Studios Movie. No idea when this will occur but if its right after WM you could have Lana get hit in the crossfire somehow during the match. Rusev sees it, gets distracts, Cena takes advantage, and gets the pin that way.
If it does not happen right after Mania just have Lana get hit in the crossfire of any other match but Rusev still gets the win or could lose. Does not matter so much.
The next RAW we find out Lana will be out for such and such time due to a injury and Rusev just wrecks havoc on everyone and everything. Hes just filled with rage for the 2 months Lana is gone. He could interrupt a New Day match and just destroy them. New Day retaliates the new RAW. Then Rusev starts mauling them backstage on a weekly basis along with anyone else who gets in his way.
This sets up Lana's return and she channels Rusev's new anger into a title chase. This can also get him away from the foreigner only gimmick.

If WWE have any sense then they will allow Rusev to beat Cena convincingly at WM and continue his undefeated run which will include him holding the WWE WHC at some point.
