Favorite promotions?

Ive been a fan of WWE and i put up with TNA, i recently fell in love with PWG which is great but besides that im not sure what else to watch. What promotion do you like to watch?

Bad News Gertner 03-03-2015 10:01 PM

CHW

New Japan Pro Wrestling is where it's at my friend.

Fignuts 03-03-2015 11:37 PM

Yeah, NJPW has been killing it for the last few years. 80's and 90's AJW is another favorite of mine from Japan.

As for more local stuff, I'm not really into the indie anymore. Used to really enjoy ROH from it's debut show til about 2006. My interest in it just kind of waned from there. Haven't really cared for any of their top guys since Nigel had it. He was the last really great ROH champion imo.

youreSAWFT 03-04-2015 12:04 AM

I watched wrestle kingdom 9 and its what got me into watching ROH and all the indies i could get my hands on. Im not a fan of the backyard wrestling(shit makes me cringe). PWG is what i love watching but their materials so limited since they only have so many events. They show NJPW on tv here but i cant get into it.

ROH and a lot of american indie feds in general have always been heavily influenced by 90's AJPW. Give that a try, if NJ isn't to your liking.

ROH. its not as storyline initiative as WWE but the matches are great and they have good talent. Adam Cole needs a couple of years then he could be the next CM Punk. I enjoy ROH every week.

Luxha Underground is good. I don't get El Rey but it region plays on a channel I get and have to listen to it in Spanish without English subtitles but its still a good show.

Simple Fan 03-04-2015 02:37 AM

NJPW has a show on Axes TV that shows older shows. Nothing to new rhoug, if they you are a fan if in ring performances and have the channel I'd check it out.

Simple Fan 03-04-2015 02:39 AM

Also might want to check out Traditional Championship Wrestling It has some nice talent.

I love Chikara. Not actually sure if they're still around at the moment.

I've watched a few episodes of Lucha Underground, but find it pretty hard to get into with it's soap/drama style of shooting. It's a cool and unique idea I suppose, but doesn't feel like I'm watching real wrestling matches.

WWE

Innovator 03-04-2015 11:25 AM

Right now it's for sure New Japan.

Ruien 03-04-2015 11:35 AM

WWE is my favorite.

Ruien 03-04-2015 11:35 AM

Real Deal Wrestling is in second place for me.

Shisen Kopf 03-04-2015 11:37 AM

Real Deal is second only to CHW right now. The best fed off all time Is OCW.

RiX1024 03-04-2015 12:53 PM

WWE is my favourite, I want to like TNA but I can't get into it.

Thriller 03-04-2015 04:19 PM

Being from Toronto I get to attend a lot of Smash Wrestling events. They have top notch talent. Even had an ambulance match at one of there events. I'm also pretty sure The Young Bucks put them over as the PWG of Canada.

Blue Demon 03-05-2015 09:18 AM

WWE is my favourite by virtue of the fact that growing up, it was the only thing I could watch (through the '80s and early 90s) and when WCW rose, I found it sub-par compared to the then WWF's production. I have limited viewership of Japanese stuf, outside of some odd matches from YouTube or me checking things out that people have talked about on here, and I've enjoyed it for the most part.
