Damn. It's a huge shame that when major comic book characters die, they never come back eventually. :(

Not like a major member of the cast hasn't died before. In the fourth TMNT series from Mirage Splinter died from old age. And in series 2,which is not in continuity anymore,Leo I think it was becomes Shredder.

Going back and reading series 1,3 and 4 from Mirage lots of crazy stuff happened. Like Mikey getting a humanoid dinosaur space princess pregnant. Or Raph's drug addiction.

But seems most TMNT fans have either never read the comics. Or only read either/or the ARchie series or this new one from IDW.

Was with you here. Never seen Metalhead depicted that way. Thought it was a white Baxter Stockman in one of his suits or w/e.

I'm absolutely not up to date with that's currently going with TMNT, so I thought that might as well be one of the original Turtles wearing armor for some goddamn reason.

Sorta looks like a white dude is remotely controlling Metalhead. Could be wrong.

Also, is Donnie some other character?

Or are they referring to Donatello? Cause that would make no fucking sense.

Donnie is short for Donatello and what most of his brothers and April call him.

I have not read any new TMNT comics, so I cannot gauge any of their storylines. Never have I seen Metalhead controlled by anyone other than Donatello.

What I meant was the line "I wish Donnie was here" while he was laying right there in a pool of blood.

I have never heard someone saying "I wish XXX was here" after said person was just murdered in front of him.

I'm trying to make sense of a comic book, nevermind.

Oh - it was showing two different scenes at once..... kinda like how 24 (if you have watched it) would show 3-4 panels at a time of everything kinda converging into a big shitstorm before the shitstorm.

The square off-colored box with the text is meant to be the thought of someone NOT there. Odd, I know, but common.
